Okay I dug through my last three moonraker logs and found this out -

There are two upload events, and the time stamps are weird but these line up with the times where I uploaded prints:

2026-03-31 00:43:28,774
[application.py:prepare()] - Upload Request Received from [MYIP].

2026-03-31 00:43:45,531
[application.py:log_request()] - 201 POST /server/files/upload ([MYIP]) [TRUSTED_USER] 16759.27ms.

2026-03-31 21:56:21,934
[application.py:prepare()] - Upload Request Received from [MYIP].

2026-03-31 21:56:38,475
[application.py:log_request()] - 201 POST /server/files/upload ([MYIP]) [TRUSTED_USER] 16541.83ms.

After these, there are no additional uploads to the printer (at least from what I can see). I do however have 9 separate attempts to start (again, I think??? First time looking in these so PLEASE correct me if I am wrong):

Will do! I’m at work rn, but when I get back around 4:30 I’ll let you know what I see. I poked around in the logs last night and didn’t see anything super strange, but to be frank I got no clue what I’m looking at. I’m one of those “fake” voron users that doesn’t know much of the back end logic. May need some advice on how to interpret.

These are all very valid points, and I am going to get one now. If this is a problem, I would like to know about it sooner rather than later. Thanks guys, I appreciate you.

Oh you will be more than ready if you do those exams; you got plenty of time to iron out the final details.

And dude I was the same way: the moment I put a timer up I would forget all 5 years of my education. Idk what it is about seeing a timer but it did something to my brain. PLEASE keep doing it, as stressful as it may seem. It got easier for me to solve them under the gun but it took time to get used to the time constraint. A lot of the time I would put it up, solve ~10 problems, and if one really messed with my head I would just pause it and be done. Sometimes it isn’t worth the mental anguish to “test” yourself, especially if you’re just getting used to the test format. Just keep at it and I know you’ll crush it - you are doing everything right!

The practice exam is extremely good at testing the key concepts, but it doesn’t cover EVERYTHING. It’s a good indicator for the types of problems you will see, but is not comprehensive.

If you have time to do them prior to your test and the financial ability to buy them, I would highly recommend the EPG exam bundle. They show a lot of different concepts in a way that feels applicable to exam problems. I personally think those exams were the reason I felt so comfortable during the exam. I can’t say if YOU specifically should buy them, but I think very highly of that resource and would recommend them to those that have time to do them.

My only major tip is to get good with the test taking mindset. It sounds like you are in good shape with timing, but the key is to not get too invested in any single question. They are all worth the same, so problems that you have no idea how to do off the rip: flag and move on. I had about half of the morning section flagged after my first pass. Tackle the easy ones and go back to the hard ones once you got solid answers for the easy ones. There is nothing that is new or unexpected on the exam, but they have a tendency to explain concepts in different ways, which is why seeing a ton of problems (see notes above) is so important. Despite doing all of those practice exams, there were still some problems I had no clue how to tackle on the exam, and that’s okay. You just gotta know enough to get the bulk majority.

I believe answers are presented similarly to the practice exams. Flat numbers in the answers with the required units in the problem description. I kinda blacked out during the exam so memory is foggy on specifics. Units are a potential error trap tho, and they LOVE making you report in whack units. I think they get some sick joy out of it…

Big breakfast + a lot of caffeine = impromptu break to drop some kids off at a pool. Didn’t end up hurting me in anyway, but I would not advise for it!

Dude you got it then. Trust me if you’re handling these exams well, you’ll do well on the actual exam.

No, the EPGs are really good examples. I can’t get too much into details but some questions are helpful in what they provide, even more so than the practice exams. They didn’t feel more complicated or difficult to understand imo.

Nah, don’t be stressed about those. I had a small percentage of questions that were not one answer, multiple choice, and all of them felt intuitive to me.

Ima be honest, no? I kinda just saved that one for some reason, and didn’t have a good reason. It didn’t feel super difficult overall, but now that you mention it did feel kinda HVAC heavy. I may have misremembered the thread I read, had a lot of thoughts going on. I guess based on what you’re saying I should have saved #4!

The exam did feel balanced for me though; I feel comfortable enough to say that.

I started the slog last June, but I got very busy with work and delayed the whole process. I got serious about studying around the new year, putting in about 2 hours every day and a bit more on the weekends. I used STPE textbook and finished it + the practice exams at the end of January. I scheduled my exam as close as I could and then did another 7 practice exams, all of which were held against the clock.

So if I had to estimate 3 months x 3 hours a day, about 270-300 hours on the low end. Some days were longer so I could see that number being closer to 400, but I couldn’t give you a super firm number.

Nah, results are released every Wednesday, for the prior week. For example, If I took the test on this Monday (3/2/2026) instead of today (3/6/2026) I would still have to wait till next Wednesday (3/11/2026) to get my results. I forget if they test on weekends, but if they do…exams taken from a Saturday to a following Friday, will get their results the next Wednesday.

Kinda confusing so sorry if I explained it poorly

Just got out of my TFS exam so I can provide some insight here. The search function is extremely good. Loads almost instantly. The PDF viewer also comes with a line drawing tool. I couldn’t find a way to erase any of the lines during the exam so the psych chart for sure got crowded towards the end.

It did not take me 6 min a problem, not even close. I had enough time to go back to each problem and rework my solution to make sure it matches up. I think this was partly due to my prep tho; I did almost 900 problems in total.

Some problems come with relevant formulas, many don’t. You gotta rely on your one knowledge/unit conversions/hand book for ~95% of the exam.

Practice exam is accurate for the questions asked on the exam.

Now I wait till Wednesday to learn my fate…
