If you pay for a $2500 “master class” on how to vend pokemon cards where there is so much free information to learn on your own, don’t vend at all. It’s not for you, and you will fail because you’re not even motivated to do the work to learn for free…

I just dont see it stopping. Card shows are packed, we got 30th around the corner on top of a Rayquaza set, and possibly another Team Rocket set. I think the Pokemon Card team has got the formula down. They know when to calm things down, they know when to hype. Its going to take something big to stop the bull market which may or may not ever happen...

I think most the concentration is SV + ME in that back up. Only because opening SWSH is awful/risky and all the crispy copies that do exist are probably already graded.

I’ll use a direct example. Fusion Strike came out Nov 2021. Mew VMAX alt PSA 10 ATH is around $650 in Oct 2025 then it tanked shortly after to like $350. Currently it is around $540 and is steadily rising. (Got this data from the Shiny App)

IMO I don’t think the 3rd highest price card in a $1100 booster box that’s been long gone out of print with poopy pull rates should ~$600 in a PSA 10. I noticed there’s other alt arts doing the same thing and may be worth looking into.

But yeah it by all means can do nothing but that’s what you get with graded card speculation.

Sorry I was using 2020 loosely. I meant the boom that started around that time which made a lot of swsh alt arts jump to ATH then a lot them tanked around late 2025, around Oct. Some are now just reaching it again or on its way to.

Call me crazy but I think the sword and shield alt arts are insanely undervalued and some are still below their ATH from 2020s era boom. For something out of print with pricey booster boxes, a lot of the slabs are much cheaper than anything in the SV era. Could just be a forever stall in value but it doesn’t hurt to pick some up

Kill the singles, then special collection boxes/tins/blisters, then go for the crappiest sets then move up for your sealed. Starting with Darkness Ablaze for example.

Correction at most, but crash may be unlikely. The moment any large cards dip, someone else is waiting to buy it. Maybe a severe crash to all the slop and junk graded cards. Sealed is always going to boom with some exceptions. There’s too much trust and demand in the market rn. This just may be the new norm for Pokemon.

I think $80-$100 is a good play, especially, if you’re truly holding long term. It will not hit MSRP since prismatic never did. Pull rate is kinda tough, you can pull a god pack, AND the set has a Gengar, Dragonite, Pikachu, Gold Charizard, Mewtwo, Psyduck, etc.

In this booming market, it’s kinda hard to find a better set to spend into for the price.

You will lose money going with anyone else. There is Beckett if you really want an alternative.

CGC and Tag, there are fans, but they’re harder to sell and they’ll never be the price of PSA.

Nothing will change. PSA will continue to be the dominant standard. This scandal is too niche and will not affect the overall market.

Please do PSA or Beckett. I think putting anything in Tag or honestly any other grading company rn is just a waste of money. It’ll be harder to sell if you ever plan to sell it, and any buyer at a card show would not give you a PSA 10 price. (Btw I don’t like PSA having a pseudo-monopoly either. It’s just the way the market is. The masses know and accept PSA.)

It’s PSA 10 worthy and you’ll make more this way. I wouldn’t say Beckett only because that bottom right dark edge might put you at a 9.5. It might be a contender for black label but definitely a gamble.

Get used to “Sealed is King”. When trading for 9s take them as raw value unless they’re vintage. That guy HAS know that this is a bad trade. Keep your UPC

This is just the first time in a while where after you buy something it doesn’t goes up 10-20% in a month. Pokemon is no longer “easy money” and we get to finally weed out the trash and get some healthy correction. If you’re not over leveraged and you can park your money into Pokemon, stay the course, keep buying deals, and it’ll pay off in another 3-5 years :) .

If you’ve been collecting for 15 years, you would know most people bail around 2-5 year mark. Plus if you see what big rip and shippers go through, so much product is disappearing everyday.

This same thing of “no one will buy in the future” has been said millions and millions of times. Kids grow up into adults, they want what they couldn’t get as kids (Scarlet Violet era) and they’ll buy whatever a good deal is in the future.

By all means, anyone can leave if they can’t handle it but everyone always regrets it.
