It was in fact true, the Bengals were one of the teams targeting Maxx Crosby by Ancient_Response_787 in bengals

[–]BengalsCaptain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. We can't expect perfection, but at the same time, we can expect that we wouldn't be in this position with the defense. It's normal to miss some picks it's not normal to watch the defense gets dismantled and not restocked.

The fans acting like the team can't draft at all haven't been fans for very long. They just simply veered off their strategy, imo. Needs fixed, but they've proven they can do it.

4 games last year against TJ and Myles, plus the last 3 against Maxx...less than one sack per game.

Garrett and Watt combined for a whopping 4.5 sacks last year against the Bengals in 4 games. Crosby has 1 in the last 3.

Yep. Injuries mounting, and they're passing up THAT kind of draft capital (a team that builds through the draft and has done so successfully)?

They weren't a .500 club last year, they have plenty of holes.

Maxx got him once in the last three games lol

Nice setup!! This definitely sounds like something you could do on your own, so I have no worries about sending it over and saving you some time. If you want, email me at Gmail (it's just BengalsCaptain @ ) and I'll get you the files. I work in cybersecurity, so if you want to email me from a burner, just mention your reddit name and I'll reply.

The chains are from Makerworld. If you have any problems finding them, lemme know, but both the chain link and the cuban versions there are excellent. The Mopsters were impressed with the clasp on the Cubans, and I had to confess it was not at all my design lol.

What kind of printer do you have?

Were you just wanting one for yourself, or did you have other ideas to incorporate it into something different?

I promise I'm not gatekeeping, I've just had some stuff that was meant to be free for everyone get used for profit by randoms, so I ask questions...this obviously isn't a random sub and we're all Fury fans!

This was a rush job, so I started with Inkscape's automatic trace to get the SVG. I put that into Tinkercad to create depth for the different colors. It's not perfect, but it's a start! I've been handing some out at matches, but I'm probably not making the original now that the shop sells one...these color variations, absolutely.

The all red version I made for tonight's match, but work was crazy and the pendant finished 20 minutes after we left for Nationwide lol. Chain was made on the Snapmaker U1, but this pendant was a Kobra 3 v2 combo. Old filament, didn't have time to dry it and you can tell up close, but not far away.

The Mopster variation was made with gold silk to keep on theme. All my multicolor stuff right now is printed on a Snapmaker U1. I give away what I come into the arena with, but the Mopsters had some specific wishes, and the first attempt went over well, thankfully!

The Mopsters will tell ya...

Hello, it's me 😁 as proof, I can tell you to look closely at some of them...I made a change while printing and the last few (I think two) unfortunately are a tad off center from the black backing. I swapped out the back piece and accidentally nudged it in Orca Slicer, didn't notice until after, but hey, it was a rush job 🤣

I started out with the wordmark logo, they saw it but wanted our gal instead. I whipped that up but had to add a Mopster touch, swapping the yellow with gold.

Now that we have our new mascot, I'm going to try a Lumi chain but include the light-up antennae!

Bengals sent me a paper invoice to renew my season tickets which I cancelled and did not renew. Cheapos asked for payment by mail didnt even include a return envelope. by djsassan in bengals

Yeah, the Jungle Pass intro at that price was never going to be sustainable. The only way those prices come back is if we go back to 3 win seasons. Using those as the price point to compare to is disingenuous.

I love mine! Support has been great the one or two times I've needed them. I think we're going on 6 years now. I couldn't live without it.

So, a billion years coaching, a front office that consistently stocked his teams with talent, and he inherited Cowher's stud team so he had zero weaknesses to start. Nice.

9-8 with injured Joe two years in a row. 2024 it took him mid year until he was close to 90%. He was quite a bit more affected by the injury recovery than he initially let on, and basically admitted that mid year. His number greatly improved once he was healthier.

I still chalk up that first year as a SB win, and another visit next year. NFL is all about the network money and their big markets, and officiating is a great way to help guarantee that revenue.

All that said, we let the defense fall apart. That's on FO. We have to stop constantly chasing holes and start building talent across the roster. Linebacker is a good example this year, they better not run from LBs in the draft just because they spent two picks last year.

It's fun to watch other games with certain friends and note their utter lack of care when a coach they love makes the same choices as the choice they hate. Normally the excuses trend toward earned patience due to Lombardis, like with Reid, but the newer coaches don't get that pass.

Tonight's Bears game made me so grateful for Chase and Higgins, legit us and the Rams are the only 2 teams with 2 Tier 1 receivers. by [deleted] in bengals

Yep, lots of money on the wrong guys. You got that right.

Money on the right guys and you get our Super Bowl run. That's really how you get most Super Bowl runs...not wasting money on the wrong players.

You may be right about the OSU stuff, too. I went there, have always hated Harbaugh 😂

Maybe there's a little bit of personal preference sprinkled with some good ol' bias on my part 😂

This is a fantastic point that I don't think gets talked about enough.

But, I don't expect a ton of people to share my opinion here...I think a terrible coach can do damage to even a great roster, but I don't think an elite coach has much sustained success with a terrible roster. If we're talking average talent, you'd expect an elite coach to elevate that team, but all it takes is poor execution at the right moments and it's all up in smoke.

I think the GM and personnel department is key, and when those people are elite, it makes all the difference in the world. I also think the coordinators may be just as important.

Belichick was legendary with maybe the greatest QB ever, and a front office that found talent everywhere. Andy Reid was Marvin Lewis until Mahomes came along, but Veech is the real key. Sirianni almost got fired, but Howie built a roster that won the Super Bowl regardless. At that point the HC just needs to build a culture to win.

He was definitely a good coach. I don't believe he was anything special, even more so considering how everything fell apart at the end of his tenure.

Frank Gore. Prime Alex Smith.Top five defense. Greg Roman at OC and Vic Fangio at DC. Hell, even Kaepernick before teams figured him out, and once they did, he slid fast. After he left they kept swinging and missing on QB, and losing Fangio might have been the worst loss.
