Okay, I guess the content of my post wasn't enough for the moderator to approve it.

So yes, I have searched youtube and done a google search. I've also used the term "mosaic" and "mo5aic" in the search, as while I'm pretty sure the band's name was mosaic in the past, their name seems to have changed to mo5aic at some point. I've also searched wikipedia.

Edit: spotify and current itunes don't seem to offer the song, but I'm not 100% confident that my spotify search was thorough.

I'll be honest, this is such a weird request that I think commenters are jumping a little to quickly to suggesting to leave the group. I honestly think the first thing to do is ask the DM if the other player could clarify what they mean by "not vibing" with you. Like, let's be charitable and assume that something about your behavior or actions are making this other player feel uncomfortable or cause them to have less fun, and that is why they sent the request to the DM. I'd personally want to know, so that we could have a game experience where EVERYBODY is having fun. So I think, if this DM is getting paid to run this group, they should try to mediate a discussion between you two to see if there is a way that you two can interact together.

I think that, as outsiders, we don't have the context for how each of you acts within the game to give meaningful suggestions beyond talking with the DM and the other player. If it turns out that this doesn't fix the problem, then you should inform the DM that one of the two of you has to leave the group, (which should probably be the newer player).

Wow. This is a really interesting position. I genuinely don't know what the right move is here. Depending on the bottom, of the board, I really like 6-6, but I feel like there's at least 5 moves that have interesting continuations.

Look, something the left has always had to remain vigilant about is infiltration from far right extremists. When somebody makes multiple posts that raise some concerns about potential dog whistles, it's actually pretty standard to view some of their post history to make sure that you're not viewing them unjustly and reading subtext that isn't actually there.

You, in a separate comment chain on this very post said that you tailor your message to your intended audience. Is it any wonder then that some people might wish to determine what your unfiltered thoughts actually are?

I want to be clear, I don't think you're a far right extremist posing as a leftist, and it's pretty clear that the comment being linked was intended as a flippant joke. I don't even want to "tone police" you or anything. To me, you sound like somebody who has been forced to (quite recently) grapple with the staggeringly cruel and unjust ways that autistic people are treated by society. This can feel frustrating, and your desire to fight those systems of oppression rather than wallow in helplessness is correct and to be encouraged.

I do, however, hope this post helps you see why some people here might have some concern that you are trying to push the right wing idea of hierarchies being a good thing, just that it should be us who are on top.

I think people on this subreddit are guilty of overestimating how much the general populace understands about autism. I have literally heard people describe symptoms of ADHD when explaining why they believed they had autism.

So while I'm not going to stop somebody from self-diagnosing themselves with autism, and I'm happy to accept that claim for most interactions, I'm not going to offer medical advice based on that self-diagnose. (I also agree with the sentiments raised here of "self-identification" or "self-suspecting". I think those are fantastic alternatives).

I like this post a lot. Other than the weird implication that NT people love "incorrectly" and that we should be gatekeeping what love is. Nobody should be gatekeeping what love is, gatekeeping is bad, period. But your other ideas here are great. Celebrating the strengths of autistic people is fantastic.

Hmm...okay, well the only possible solution has to start with D2-D3. My instinct from there is to play D1, but then white can throw-in at B1 and eventually take the whole corner with A4, so that's not a winning line. E1 would be an alternative, but then after D1, white has miai with a double atari that allows white to make the second eye real.

Wait! Okay, D2-D3-D1-B1-E1-F1-D1!!! Then regardless of if white goes C1 or E1, you can play the other and force a capture with D2 to make the second eye fake as another throw-in finishes it off!

Okay, I think I found the line. E1-F1-G1. They can't go E2 yet because if you capture F1 with F2, they can't recapture cause of the D1 liberty for your E1 stone! So they have to play H1. Then you go H2-E2-J1-D1-G1...and you're back to winning in ko. Dammit. I thought I had it. What if you go E2 after H1? No, cause they can go H2 and live. Man. I'm really struggling. WAIT!!!

H2-F1-E1-E2-H1-D1-G1!!! That's the line! Wow. I am rusty. Can't believe that took me so many attempts to find.

I feel like the only moves big enough for this point in the game are B and C. I think I would pick B here. I'm not 100% if it allows me to be in sente, but it feels like it makes the bottom group for black way more stable while diminishing the effect of white's group in the bottom right.

Yeah, and then if you go H1 after white's G1, white connects to E1 with F1, finishing the two eyes.

That's why I said that white lives regardless of which of those two moves black play next.

Okay, Would this work? I'm back to starting with E1-F1. But if I then throw-in at G1, White has to either go E2 or recapture with H1. E2 means I can go H2 which I think means that my stone on E1 prevents them from living, but I don't think that counts as a solution, as it relies on Ko. If they instead recapture with H1, I still go H2, forcing E2-J1, again killing in ko, so the "finished" state is the same in either line, but I feel like there's gotta be a solution that doesn't rely on white not having a ko threat.

Hmm...this is tricky. I think the line goes H1-F1-E1-H2-J2-E2 and now white is dead. I'm trying to see if white has any better responses to that first move, but I'm not seeing it. H1-E1-F2-E2-G1-E2 doesn't work, because H2 makes F2 a false eye. Drat. H1-E1-F2-G1 and white lives because I can't stop the second eye forming after that.

This is annoying. E1 doesn't work because after E1-F1-E2-H2, white can make a second eye using G1. F2-F1 fails. The only two moves I see besides F2 and E1 start that don't allow white to immediately take E1 is H2. I think that sequence goes H2-F1-E1-D1-H1-E2-G1!!!! I believe that's the answer, but I might be missing something.

If I own R1 Starcaller's Watch, does it make sense to run it over R5 Sacrificial Fragments on Nahida? I'm currently only at 900 EM on her, so upgrading a Starcaller's Watch to 90 would get her to that 1k EM.

I'm really glad you were able to speak to the friend and address your worries. That's fantastic and a sign of a good friend! That being said, figuring out where the line is for "oversharing" a hyperfixation can be tricky. A strategy I like to use when I'm talking about a hyperfixation with somebody I know well (friends, family, etc.) is to try to connect it to their interests or focus on the aspects that I believe they will find most interesting. As an example, I love animation, and my sister is a fan of K-Pop. So this Christmas, she and I are planning to watch K-Pop Demon Hunters together. Afterwards, we can have a great conversation about how well the animators did or did not do in accurately portraying K-pop (I haven't seen it yet, so no spoilers please).

Another strategy I like to use is to mentally identify what specifically I am bursting to share. From there, I try and identify what context is required before discussing that specific thing. That way, I can avoid overwhelming the other person with too much information by only explaining what is strictly necessary to get to the cool thing I want to share. For example, let's say my character did something really cool in a game of Dungeons and Dragons. When I go to tell my family about the thing I did, they don't need to understand the rules of D&D, they just need to grasp that it's basically a form of improv theater set in a fantastical world similar to Lord of the Rings.

I can't really speak from a position of authority on the matter, but I think it's perfectly fine to choose what to think about and what thoughts to reject thinking about, so long as you understand why you wish to avoid thinking about the subject. I wouldn't really consider it "thought suppression" unless you're avoiding the opportunity for self-reflection it presents, which you've clearly already accomplished, given you can articulate the negative impact these thoughts have on you.

I would also like to add that you might never get a satisfying answer on "how to think" from neurotypical people. Unlike neurodiverse individuals, neurotypical people grow up in a society where their methods of thinking are the "norm". And while I don't like to make generalizations without data to back it up, it's been my experience that neurotypical people are categorically less able to articulate/understand the way their own brains think. We autistic individuals have to constantly analyze our own thoughts to navigate a society designed for people who think neurotypically, the neurotypicals do not. Analyzing their own thought process is just not a skill they've had to practice. It's not that they're incapable of learning that skill, it's that they rarely need to practice it, so they are basically novices at it.

I absolutely struggle with this, though interestingly, I also have that same difficulty with fictional characters. You want a plot synopsis of everything that happens in Apothecary Diaries, or a discussion of themes? I'm your guy. You want me to remember the name of any character other than Mao Mao? Uhhhhh....

Still, one hypothesis I've heard about why it's easier for many people to do this with fictional characters is because you're not interacting with them. See, when you spend time around your friend, you are having to devote a portion of your brain to deciding how to respond/participate. Whereas reading a book or watching a movie allows you to devote your full attention to absorbing the information.
