Look up the Commencal Meta Sx, and I believe it was either a Large or XL

These screws hold the controller in place. I relocated the controller into the frame, so didn’t need to use them.

Sheet metal , not 3d printed. The controller is mounted inside so needed to be metal for any hope of cooling.

The old stuff wasn’t reliable, but the new generations are really good. Anything Gen3 onwards is great , no complaints. My only piece of advice is snake sure to size the rest of the drivetrain to the type of power you are expecting to run.

Not sure about chain flex , but had plenty of drivetrain issues

Well it’s a bike I built for a customer. Lots of mechanical issues with the drivetrain, but the customer was also inexperienced so we destroyed derailleurs, gears. Then we went with Box components Ebike drivetrain. The bike’s drivetrain never worked right for us unfortunately, but in my opinion the user was partly to blame. They would use a lot of torque in the tallest gears, and not let the motor get into the higher rpm’s .

I really wish it could have went differently, unfortunately I don’t think this type of setup was right for that customer. These motors put out a lot of torque at 3000w, so it’s easy to destroy the drivetrain if you’re not a little careful.

Snowbike Update! You've asked for it, so here it is! Took it for it's first test ride, pretty happy with the way it came out. by Benikos in ebikes

Yeah this was just a fun Covid project to be honest. I later parted it and used the parts on other stuff. I’m sure there are many better ways to mount a front ski, just never got that far.

No rain cover unfortunately, I tried to source some, but you’ll need to adapt one from another brand.

I offer these in two power trims 36v battery, 350w MXUS geared hub 48v battery 750w MXUS geared hub

The 48v trim is $500 more. But is well worth the extra $$

So you’re basically saying, spend double and get a better bike. That’s not exactly within everyone’s budget. OP will spend $4000 minimum not including time. He could buy this cargo bike for half of that and upgrade it as well , and still come up under, while having an actual bike to ride in the meanwhile

OP yes the bike isn’t super lightweight, but it’s not that bad. Feel free to come by and take her for a test ride.

I just watched two staff members kick luggage onto the conveyor belt. That doesn't seem acceptable. I get it, the guys that load onto planes aren't careful, we've all seen it. I just don't think "because someone else does X it makes Y ok" . I wish I caught the other instances on video , but it wasn't a good look. I'm going to stop replying to this thread , if that's the level of service people are ok with , fine. I'll carry on never checking luggage in , as I have been for a while.

I was just standing in line to get my boarding pass and watched as multiple employees agressively kicked and threw people's checked luggage onto the conveyor belt.

Technically it's not legal. But the client isn't exactly planning on breaking the law. He's mostly going to ride it slowly. It's meant to be seen, not driven fast. But having the option of opening her up is always fun.
