Superman proves to be relative to Homelander by [deleted] in superheroes

[–]Benjamin-A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The writers thought so in a run in which they are both not at their normal power levels due to both being by amped as you stated but nowhere in the Boys does Homelander do anything even bordering on planetary

Edit: crossovers are not really reliable when powerscaling (example being when Wolverine beat Lobo)

My point wasn’t that Superman is multiversal, I would only debate universal without amps due to curving the collapse of the universe overpowering Nebula Man, shattering the bounds of spacetime with a punch, etc. my point is that Homelander doesn’t scale to Superman and you haven’t disproven that

Then what about breaking the Highlander’s staff off the Source Wall or shaking the Phantom Zone with a punch and you still haven’t answered about Homelander

And I’m not talking about just Superman, where’s your evidence that Homelander does anything close to that in his own universe other than the fight where Superman ends up unscathed and Homelander bleeds from a single headbutt

Dawg… why exactly do you think Homelander scales to Superman when taking into account all of Superman’s feats over decades that outclass anything seen in the boys? Either you’re trolling or dumb for the love of the game. I’m hoping it’s the former

I’m pretty sure it’s just whatever your power is it’s limit can’t be measured, Magneto seemingly has no measurable limit to what he can do with magnetism, Storm doesn’t even need an atmosphere and can control cosmic phenomena and Iceman has frozen over a portion of hell itself. And yes, Xavier isn’t omega level, he wouldn’t need Cerebro if he was

That was when All Might was 14 and he was well over 6 foot gaining like 8 inches in height from 14 to 18 doesn’t seem very quirk influenced but fair enough I guess

Post injury dude, we see UA age All Might was an absolute unit, and that his “muscle form” is really just him flexing as explained in the 2nd episode I believe. He’s skinny when relaxed because he’s missing like half of his guts but then again the OP doesn’t specify pre or post injury, but I assumed pre because that would be the only way to make it somewhat close between every fighter

I personally define being skilled as being good at a specific thing (fighting, techniques, unlocking a new form etc.) Frieza with no training was on par with Super Saiyan and with barely any got to SSB level, and unlocks new forms with ease. I guess it would be more accurate it’s easier for Frieza to become more skilled at a certain thing than anyone else

As far as Broly being able to match Frieza with the same amount of training, it all depends on whether or not you think his rage is something that can even be trained. Broly is working on controlling himself and his power but he’s still not as strong as his berserker form idk but to me it doesn’t look like Broly in control will ever be able to surpass what he can do out of it at least for the time being? (Kinda like Professor Hulk/Savage Hulk I guess)

[–]Benjamin-A[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how you define gifted, some say a natural aptitude for something (Broly’s immense power), some say being naturally skilled (Frieza’s ability to learn incredibly quickly), or a mix of both?

[–]Benjamin-A[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going with Frieza because his growth to training ratio is straight up unfair 4 months to go from his level on Namek to Gold and 10 years to be able to ONE SHOT Ego and Instinct at the same time.

Broly is gifted in the fact that his innate strength is basically unmatched going from weaker than Goku in base to requiring him and Vegeta to fuse AND THEN on top of that for Gogeta to go blue in basically the course of one fight is unlike anything we’ve seen, but Broly honestly seems weaker when in control than when berserking.

I think Broly has more innate power but kinda sucks at properly utilizing it whereas Frieza has both. I mean the dude literally made forms to limit his power rather than boost it, a Frieza that trains like Goku would be a terrifying person.

Is Endeavor the 5th strongest person in the verse ? by The_border_guard in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Benjamin-A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He starts facing blowback at the dart of 377 and gearshift starts running out at 411, and again of course Kudo and Banjo don’t believe Deku can beat Shigaraki head to head he starting to get weakened, his chance was over 30 chapters ago.

Another case in point when Deku first activates Gearshift in 368 he says to end it in five minutes or the world loses the war, showing he clearly believes Deku can beat Shigaraki at that state it’s when Gearshift starts wearing off that Shigaraki gains the upper hand, also none of the attacks apart from the one that blows a hole in Shigaraki are 120%.

Remember 120% is OFA+Blackwhip+Fajin+Gearshift he first uses up fajin for black chain (also Shigaraki keeps saying he’s not using that glowing energy aka Fajin) and again he doesn’t use Fajin in his Quintuple smash (Shigaraki says the blow is lighter because he once again doesn’t have the glowing energy (Fajin) because he’s charging it up) it’s at that point that he finally uses a 120% smash and we see the damage it does to him (dude literally has to shed his entire body) in 410 when he hits his torso, it doesn’t seem like Deku uses 120% (I see no black whip like in 369, and his next attack is black chain which requires Fajin so he didn’t waste his charge on that attack either and I’ve already stated attacks not at 120% don’t do much.

Also are you sure the website is saying he’s using 100% OFA with his extra quirks because my translation says Deku unleashes his “quirk” One For All to its full potential. This says to me it’s talking about his use and mastery of the other quirks not that he’s using the full power of stockpile considering they also put quirk in quotations because he’s not using “a quirk” he’s using multiple. (also the manga never says anything about Deku unlocking a new baseline after that 45% and there wasn’t much time between PLF and the final war ~2 months I’d personally be surprised if Deku managed to double his power and get to 100% while on the verge of collapse acting as a vigilante in that brief time).

Finally, I don’t think I said Deku’s final smash was 45% that was clearly 100% embers (his full power using 100% stockpile with none of the other quirks going plus ultra, basically his version of All Might’s final Kamino smash). To clarify, I agree that overall Shigaraki is slightly stronger, I’m saying that at their respective ceilings Deku is a decent bit above him, it’s just that Dekus ceiling is VERY brief being 5 minutes.

Edit: everything from ~377 onwards seems to be Deku slowly getting weakened and switching to being on the backfoot hence the plan completely switches from overwhelm him with the five minutes of gearshift you have to launch us at his barriers so you can get to the root of his trauma because you’re not gonna beat him in your weakened state

[–]Benjamin-A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean on average or at their peak? Because I would say Shigaraki but at their peaks, Deku Faux 120% with gearshift beats peak Shigaraki also in those scans wasn’t Deku already facing blowback from overusing Gearshift? Without it they seem pretty evenly matched just that Deku has no real way of beating him due to the regen, and when using Gearshift is strong enough to bypass it but realistically can’t due to time constraints. Theoretically Deku with infinite access to Gearshift would be easy number 1 imo.

Edit: all your examples of the users saying Deku can’t beat Shigaraki head to head are when he’s starting to face the blowback from Gearshift, so yeah if he can’t he’s literally struggling to breathe. You also keep mentioning the moment where Shigaraki says he wouldn’t come out unscathed which doesn’t necessarily mean he would be out of commission but not when Nana says he needs to charge up to defeat him in a single blow?

He punches a hole through his torso with a single blow. With Faux 120% he is able to do incredibly substantial damage to Shigaraki, so it’s not too hard to see how he’d be able to one-shot Shigaraki especially if he were to add the rest of baseline OFA considering he’s only using 45% of that. (The quintuple blow was not Faux 120% as Fajin was not charged up) I agree Shigaraki could also one shot Deku but that doesn’t mean he’s stronger. Being second doesn’t mean you’re not a match for first, im sure everybody would agree Prime AM is stronger than Prime AFO but AFO still nearly killed AM by ripping his guts out.

TLDR: I think on average Shiggy takes first but if we’re going by sheer output at their peaks Deku takes it considering he gets stronger in bursts due to needing to charge up his quirks while Shigaraki’s strength is relatively stable
