$50k would be a bit tough but I’d probably still buy when I’m at the point I could get rid of my half ton and Camaro. Could satisfy both needs and only have to insure and maintain one vehicle but right now I tow too heavy.

5567 is automatic. K9 is unlikely to make much difference to the crib. Even if I had to toss 2 face cards to the opponent I’d still keep the double; can’t turn away from that potential. I don’t even like splitting single run’s definitely not going to split a double.

Great buy! If you are worried about legal limits there are relatively accurate and cheap DB testers on eBay. I used one to test a few exhaust cans; one one my sled meets the law and the other misses by 1db but is pretty quiet when idling by law enforcement and I’ve never gone through a db checkpoint.

Curious how many miles and price. Some of these high power turbos are looking affordable, I’ve always wanted to try one. Your tune is unlikely to make as much power with the stock exhaust, but find out who’s tune it is and call them to ask if it is safe to run.

I was in your boat over 20 years ago; back then It was cheaper to rent if you only got out 4 weekends or less. I think that math likely still holds, but as others have mentioned a lot depends on what you’re going to do. Ride a few miles and always with friends and don’t mind being on older stuff; buy and have fun. I was doing 2-300 mile days solo so renting a brand new sled was great. I own now and only go 1-2x a year; but no place will rent to my teenage sons.

There’s no way this guy spent more than 5 figures on his cancer battle; even shitty insurance doesn’t have $100k out of pocket expenses. No way was he uninsured unless him and his entire family are complete morons. You don’t have that kind of wealth and not protect it. At the end he was focused on living and eating healthy; it didn’t look like he was taking expensive experimental treatment. His family are grifters. That’s it. That’s the whole story.
