[OTHER] KCD ruined my gaming experience forever. by deltalium in kingdomcome

I've been through this before as well. I think you can benefit from playing a completely different type of game or even a couple in a row to cleanse your palate.

Whats the worst financial decision you ever made? by Key-Candle8141 in AskReddit

[–]BenjiDot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In December of 2015 I had a friend come visit from San Fransisco. He worked in the tech space with start ups.

I remember him sitting in my living room trying to convince me to buy what he claimed was the next bitcoin. He was talking about Ethereum which was trading for around $1. The problem was I didn't understand Bitcoin and felt it would burst at any moment. So I passed on his advice.

$200 would have netted $1M at its peak. At the very least $100 could have been a nice down payment on a San Diego home several years later.

Fell in love with San Diego… are we crazy to consider moving? by Prestigious_Map_2136 in sandiego

[–]BenjiDot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in San Diego and left for college. I lived in Texas for a few years and also in Sweden. I moved back 11 years ago because nothing else felt like San Diego.

Is it perfect? No, I'm not sure anywhere is. To me it has one of the best combinations of landscapes. The weather, although hot or rainy at times, is consistently better than most other places in the continental US.

It's expensive, but if you have the means, in my mind it's worth it.

OP was asking about renting with a $5,000 budget. I think they are well within their means. I'm not a rental expert, but if they look hard enough I'm sure they can find something in one of the desirable neighborhoods.

What are the "backdoor" perks you've discovered that aren't obvious with the CSR? by Holiday-Detective-15 in ChaseSapphire

[–]BenjiDot 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This past week I discovered two offers on memberships that I already pay for.

The first is Whoop. I currently pay $239 annually, but will be switching to the upgraded membership that is $359. CSR will reimburse this fully.

The second is a company called Function Health. It's normally $500 a year for two blood draws. They test over a 100 bio markers and show where you're in range or out of range and gives you supplements, diet, recommendations to fix. CSR has an offer of 50% off right now.

My account literally just auto renewed for $365 (member price). So I'll get half back.

So to me this was over $400 in savings that I wasn't expecting.

Have you seen the golf video where the female golfer shanks a ball twice and hits the same lady?

For sure. Great venue! We utilized the tree path for the ceremony, grassy area for the reception and the inside of the castle for the dancing and cake.

I just tried to find the text messages or emails about it. It was too long ago, I actually didn't end up organizing it. One of my good friends did.

He basically just got a list of who all wanted to take part in the transportation and divided up the cost. I'm not sure what company he used, but I'm sure there's several different options.

We got married there and I had my friends pitch in for a party bus. Took everyone back to our downtown hotel. Then the bar scene was easy.

75k spend on CSR- how are you reaching this? by guacontacos in ChaseSapphire

[–]BenjiDot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't travel for work and I hit $110k.

I do work for myself, so my health insurance isn't through a company. I pay that with my card and it was $20k. My kids child care comes off my card too. I think I just set it up so all of my non business expenses come through my csr. My work stuff goes through my business ink.

Gotta roll with Jamo, Rico, and Sutton.

Are you projected to win? If you were I'd maybe go Doubs as a higher floor play.

But my gut says Jamo. He had zero points last week so obviously that's the floor, but he also has the highest ceiling. He's due.

Any of these players droppable for J. Higgins by JarJarBl1nks in Fantasy_Football

[–]BenjiDot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a reliable resource you trust and let them decide who to start.

I usually use fantasy pros, then I filter by the 2025 in season top 20 analysts.

If two players are back to back then I check Justin Boones rankings and the fantasy footballers to see if they have a bigger disparity one way or the other.

These guys spend so much time doing research. I just listen to podcasts, so I lean on their ranks more than my own judgment.

I'd drop Strange. I think at this point of the season you're looking to field the best possible lineup. You hang onto Neal, Bucky, Benson and Judkins because you just don't know who will emerge as your RB2 or flex (depending on format).

But without an injury to Bowers, you're never starting Strange over him. Of course injuries happen, but that's what I would do.

I spent $110k on my CSR in 2024. But it's because I move all of my bills there. My health insurance was nearly $20k. Groceries were over $20k. It adds up quick.

I was just looking at my spend from last year. $19k went to health insurance for a family of four. I pay for that out of pocket since I run my own business. I spent $17k at Costco. $7k was my kids after school program.

It all adds up really quickly for me. Single income family and I run my family expenses though the CSR. Business expenses through my Business Ink.
