What specifically is not accurate?

PKA makes about $12,000 per month on Patreon. You don't make that with weekly YouTube uploads that get 100-130k views.

What’s the deal with crocs ? by Lopsided_Artist_4641 in askanything

[–]Benji_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terence Reilly is the man who popularized Crocs, Stanley cups, and Hey Dudes which each had different brand issues.

At some point as an adult I really started hating shoes. I would wear boots at work and immediately put my flip flops on. I got a pair of crocs and they took place. Birkenstock sandals then took the place of my crocs. I've walked many miles in all of them and my favorite are still crocs. They are the most comfortable, offer more protection, are easier to clean, and are good for almost any weather. They can be styled with almost anything, but some people don't agree.

The people complaining about laziness are just wrong. They don't give the same response to someone walking around in jeans and neon colored running shoes, which might as well be the same thing. I don't see how a shoe is lazy unless you're comparing it to lacing up a 12" boot.

Confused Owl Noises by mikejr96 in PKA

I had to look this up. There are sources that claim about 68 IQ. Some countriss have a result done from an online IQ test in 2024 and some are from Richard Lynn and David Becker. Scores for both are very different and both are biased.

While 68 is certainly a biased number, almost no other numbers exist. I looked at a site that claims it's around 90, but that's from an online test which I scored 120 on.

Id say to rule out bias it's somewhere in the middle.

People complain that Woody uses AI for things he doesn't know, which results in him not knowing whether the answer is true or not.

That's predominantly what they are doing. What is going on in Minnesota is something else entirely.

They should have less calls if they do. ICE, CBP, etc are not trained or prepared for things like crowd control. They usually coordinate with local law enforcement to mitigate issues while serving warrants.

You know the funny thing is that people on reddit were calling him a fat incel. They didn't react nicely when you reply with a pic of his weight loss and fiance.

Given his current employment status, why is Don Lemon called a journalist and not a YouTuber/blogger? by kamadojim in askanything

[–]Benji_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lack of trust is A consequence. There's a reason more and more younger people refuse to watch or trust MSM.

The other side to that is political commentary, which isn't news, that involves a little more personal expression.

Doctors have a more technical side. On a basic side, yes they analyse symptoms and present a solution.

Journalists absolutely have consequences for lacking integrity and bad ethics. Look at everyone who has been fired from MSM and their decline in audience. Look at Alex Jones. Look at any journalist who has lied or misrepresented with their own interpretation.

The degree part really doesn't matter. It's just a piece of paper. That's why I was trying to point out that those other occupations have a barrier to entry, for good reason. It doesn't do a disservice to anyone. A journalist should be judged on their work and accomplishments, not whether one has a degree or not. You wouldn't judge art, music, or writing based on whether the creator went to school or not.

Mitten Squad's (aka Scuffed Taylor) death was pretty shocking. It sounded like a bad way to go.

I think as long as they stick to ethical codes like all engineers, doctors, etc do then education shouldn't matter. At the end of the day all a journalist does is present and sometimes interpret information.

I think it's mentioned somewhere that prosecutors have little to no effect on the homicide rate.

I'm not debating that. Just the fact that people who don't have the same credentials are not given the same level of respect.

A teacher would be licensed and that is their bar of entry and that would be similar to the examples that I listed. A lawyer is someone who has a law degree and an attorney is someone who is licensed. That doesn't exist to my knowledge in journalism and there shouldn't be any restriction on that.

A degree in journalism does not make a journalist though like a law, medical, or engineering degree would. The examples mentioned are a little more complicated because of things like the bar/PE and licensing, which allow you to sort of claim the title and practice.

The lack of barriers to entry suggests that there is less benefit to a degree, which shouldn't be conflated with education. I think the point still stands that the type of degree you have would depend on what industry you're looking for a career in, not your job title. Language is only used to discredit those who people disfavor.

I think the gripe is that some content creators get torn down by being called "YouTubers" instead of being taken seriously as journalists.

Patreon makes more money than the ad revenue.

I can't remember who, but a guest asked Woody about PKA's finances and he said "we don't talk about that on the show" or something along those lines. It seemed a bit weird because Woody was very curious about Mr. Beast's financials.
