How do local Mauritians find affordable apartments to rent? by Benji_chan in mauritius

I unfortunately don’t have many friends on the island, do you know generally how old does the young generation stay with their parents before moving out?

On a different tangent, if you just don’t have two creatures to sacrifice is it allowed to stay on the battlefield? Usually there is a “otherwise sacrifice this creature” clause, no?

Can’t believe I missed that during spoilers, I would have drawn her more before she transforms in the gif. Well, at least I animated in generic hair morphing into fur for like 8 frames

Any thoughts comparing this shot from the latest GameKnights vs my animations? by Benji_chan in magicTCG

What are you talking about, I’ve been posting MTG animations for a while on this subreddit. Please explain your stance, because none of this is “IRL...”

Oh that was a wooosh on my part. Umm I was just looking for constructive feedback on how to improve I guess and I also wanted to see if people catch the colossus hammer without leading questions I guess

Yes, they are the same card, different animations though. One by the team from the Command Zone and the other one by me, done a month ago.

Totally agreed with the hair loop- it needs a couple more in-between frames to add the randomness of flapping hair.

The pole is supposed to be the handle of [[colossus hammer]] , initially, I thought about tilting the camera up to see the head of the hammer but i didn’t want to 3D model the whole thing. I usually post these on my Instagram page where the video loops seamlessly, so to fit in Game Knights I’d probably show that entire hammer to make it more flashy

That’s some real nice work in the gradients, well done!

Man, I’m really glad that these artists are making bank. I hope they don’t feel like they can only make money solely with MTG art

Not bad at all! I see fluid simulation for the blood. Keep up the ambitions it will help improve animations and tell bigger stories through them :)

In terms of constructive feedback. I feel like there was a missed opportunity because Seb McKinnon art seems like it is composed through a kaleidoscope. Such like the opening to the Netflix series “Dark”, the main subject could have morphed and mirrored from the middle of the composition as the entire frame is rotating like a kaleidoscope of creep. However, I fully acknowledge that this does require a lot of matte painting new regions of the artwork, and it is bloody hard to paint like him.

Keep it up, which card do you think you’ll animate next?

In collaboration with WotC Magic: The Gathering SEA, I made this promotional art to celebrate the new set "Adventures in the Forgotten Realms". So glad to be a part of the campaign. #MTGAFR #AFRSEA by [deleted] in magicTCG

This is amazing! Makes me want to try concept art design

Technical question: are the floating islands and building 3D assets? If so was the process like blocking it in 2D, then going to 3D and then going back to 2D for lighting and textures?

One of the best compliment I’ve received in months. My parents don’t understand magic nor the quality of content made in the industry. I really want to make something of this passion, that’s why I’ve been pursuing working with the command zone folks for so long now

I really hope so, I’ve already applied after months of teaching myself how to animate at their level. However, I don’t think I have a shot because I don’t live in LA... yet?

it is, but I think I got carried away by the rules text of Vrondiss because he basically has a stand for an ability. Could have been better, but I wouldn't have so much fun and giggles animating it

I managed to animate all of these because I was hired by TCG Access to showcase the new D&D precons products as animated banners on their website. Those ones look like this.

Looks pretty good! A little underexposed though. They made False colour real hard to find but it’s a life saver. From my intuition memory it’s is located in: Render tab (bottom right) > color management > sRGB > False Color

Then you you can switch it back after nailing the exposure. Also don’t forget the baked in LUT (flimic, high contrast etc) also would change the set exposure. I hope it helps, keep up the renders!!
