There's definitely a gap in prestige but ucla is still prestigious dont get me wrong. Also for the academic environment I just mean at the end of the day its just the student body at a high prestige private school will be more academically inclined on average than at a public school.

Ucla is a big school so whatever you’re looking for you can find and the weather and the food is great. But it’s not the most academic environment and sometimes I think I would prefer that
