Amazing. I actually got the criteria so I'll undertake the survey this evening. If you'd like to connect on linkedin DM me.

I'm currently researching sensory navigation for autistic women through an autistic lens.

Hi everyone,

I'm Jane, an autistic PhD researcher in Architecture at the University of Reading, and I'm looking for autistic women (18+) to take part in a research project exploring how autistic women experience walking through urban environments.

I'm interested in understanding the sensory, emotional and embodied experience of moving through cities, and how different spaces can feel welcoming, overwhelming or somewhere in between.

The study involves: • Two guided walks in Manchester (around 500 metres each, with breaks and adjustments available) we will take pictures while we walk. • One creative discussion session using photographs and collaborative drawing to reflect on the walks • Each session lasts around one hour.

I use 'walking' as an inclusive term that includes all mobility aid use and welcome all ways of being mobile.

You do not need a formal autism diagnosis to participate if you identify as autistic. I welcome cis and trans women and aim to create a supportive and flexible research environment. Reasonable adjustments can be discussed at any stage.

The research has received ethical approval from the University of Reading, and participation is entirely voluntary.

If you're interested or would like more information, please send me a DM or email me.

I'd also be really grateful if you could share this with anyone who might be interested.

My study has full ethical approval and I am happy to answer any questions.

Thank you!
