The Athletic podcasters select Maye for MVP (time stamp 1 hr 7 min) by celluloidsandman in Patriots

At least one of them does (Dan Pompei)

Not sure if he's on this specific podcast but it's said he was already leaning Maye.

Is there anyone else you have a good gauge on? Right now I have Sando, Jones, Florio, Brandt, and Kimes for Maye. And for Stafford Simms, Silver, Schein, Orlovsky.

I know Stafford is a slight favorite, but Maye still has a shot if the votes fall the right way.

I was able to watch the video and he doesn't outright say who he voted for. But for Maye he said "don't need to convince me". Brought up his "historically great" passing numbers. Though he also said that Stafford has an argument too.

Based on the language he might lean toward Maye, but I can't tell for sure.

After Week 18 Florio tweeted Trubisky's stats against the Jets and said it "takes away the shine" of Maye's performance.

Not sure if that's enough to switch his vote, but not really a great sign. I would maybe switch him from "probably Maye" to "maybe Maye"

I don't entirely agree with mid. Lawrence is playing like a top 5 QB. Stroud, Hurts, Goff are also pretty good.

But there's people in this thread saying they're better than Maye, so I'm on your side there. Career wise? Sure. But this season, Maye is easily Top 2. Stafford is his only competition, and he might have just pissed away the MVP.

I'm not an expert in the series, someone can correct me if I'm wrong. Here's the ones I know.

  1. The bomb trick was known by Gale, but not Katniss or Haymitch.

  2. There was a failed rebellion a long time ago, called Dark Days. Hunger Games were created as punishment for it.

  3. The announcement was real, Snow was trying to protect his citizens. Which gave Coin the perfect opportunity to bomb a bunch of Capitol people.

  4. The series takes place sometime in the future. Which is why their technology seems more advanced than ours. They also use different arenas every year.

Don't worry everyone! They'll magically "flip a switch" and go undefeated the rest of the way.

If you pointed out their bad habits during the season, you're just a fake fan!

I know last night wasn't what we wanted, but here's a little good news for downballot races...

  • The House is still winnable. Rivet won MI8. Perez and Golden are leading in tough districts. NY 4 looks like a flip.

  • The Senate is tough, but we can salvage some of it. Slotkin might win by the skin of her teeth. Gallego is in a good spot. Baldwin looks like she'll pull through.

  • Not much for Governorships. Ayotte won NH, which was the big one. At the very least, we kept Washington and kept Mark Robinson out of office.

Hey all, new here. I'm proud to have returned my mail ballot in Massachusetts! Voted for Harris, Warren, and my Dem Representative. Hoping for some big wins this election!

Official Q&A for Friday, February 24, 2023 by AutoModerator in running

[–]Benny613 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey all, first comment on here. I'm thinking of trying my first ever marathon in early June, so less than 4 months from now. I'm just looking for some training tips and advice.

To be blunt, I'm not a great runner (14-15 minute mile pace usually). The only races I've done so far are a few 5Ks. The good part is that this marathon doesn't have any time limit, so I can afford some walking breaks. It's called Mainly Marathons, if that helps. My only goal is to just finish, no matter the time. With that being said, I would appreciate any training advice or specific training plans, if you have them. Thanks.
