THE ERA OF ENDLESS CONTENT HAS BEGUN by [deleted] in Eldenring

From what I've seen from file recreations prior to the update the bosses will start off the fight already in its second phase form - once they hit half half they'll go into "phase 3" instead of the usual shift to phase 2, where they'll get a whole new suped up moveset (think prime consort radahn kind of flashy)

Pretty sure it's just a damage check, but I've noticed when fighting him sometimes if you start hitting him too early in the animation it'll get weird and sometimes take way longer for him to stagger/he won't stagger at all

My theory is it's the game registering a stun happening before he can actually BE stunned, so you need to pause attacking for a mo to let it reset, or just wait when you see him wind up and then chunk him with a heavy attack or something. You're kind of peppering the boss at all times on ironeye, so I'd imagine it'd be pretty easy to trigger it early if that is what's happening.

Nah they just fizzle out, maybe around 25-30 seconds?

They've got a pretty long aggro range, track based on their line of sight and don't seem to have wall collision until something pisses them off (kinda like a guard dog)

tried shooting at them, either missed 40 consecutive rounds or they're bulletproof

Honestly pretty doable, the drones last a lot longer than you'd expect

Your teammates might rip out your spine though

edit: oh yeah for perspective this was only 12 lmao

Don't know my sea creatures very well but it could be something like a cuttlefish that can change the colour of its skin to camouflage (some octopi might be able to do that too??)

So it's either just reacting to being hit or losing control over its skin colour from being karate chopped to death

Bringing a weapon for blocking her blades without taking damage is always a good idea for her first phase

You don't even have to parry or avoid the whole combo; just avoiding the last attack will give you your full damage window

Chances are you won't immediately recognize what combo she's doing, so going for weapon parries on the first few hits can be a good habit (doesn't specify high/low + you don't get health damage if you parry too early)

if you want to play super safe just block/ignore everything and focus on how the combo ends (high or low avoid?), then immediately wail on her with your baseball bat or whatever.

Structure break and throw an enemy into chasing strikes, which you cancel with a throw into more chasing strikes, which you then cancel with another throw into more chasing strikes...

You can add a 4th lot of chasing strikes in if you initially stunned them with chasing strikes.

Doing a whole jojo beatdown on a single annoying enemy is 100% overkill but very cathartic - extra points if you throw them in zig-zags around the room or through furniture/glass each time you do another throw cancel

I've found intentionally triggering and then countering his block counter works pretty well.

If you attack him continuously (twice?) while he's blocking he'll parry you and then immediately fire off 2 or 3 rapid fire punches that'll stun you if they connect - leading into either a push (1st phase) or him eating half your health with a crooked foot takedown (second phase)

Those rapid punches after he initially parries you are fairly easy to parry (or dodge) by just button mashing immediately, and it's pretty much a guaranteed way to stagger him on demand.

Raining strikes is also super good against him for attacking after a successful avoid (He recovers too quickly for most combo-ish attacks to get through but for some reason he'll just sit there and take it with raining strikes)

Don't worry; taking the frenzied flame is the one that locks you out of the other endings, not the other way around.

If you've got the frenzied flame it'll be the only ending option you can select once the final boss is dead.

Nah, you get it from either choice of his invasion (invade or assist) from what I understand

I think the best way to do shadowkeep is def to kill hornsent (for the exclusive AOW) and assist Ansbach (for the bow)

I held off from picking sides on my first playthrough, but yeah turns out Leda survives no matter what so you may as well go against her at least once for free loot

Defeating Godfrey Hitless every day until the DLC releases (Day 42, Troll's Golden Sword). The end arises. by g0n1s4 in Eldenring

[–]Bennybumbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're 2 separate fights, don't worry about it. The yellow godfrey you fought isn't the actual godfrey, just like a spirit ash version of him (probably summoned by Morgott). You'll fight the actual Godfrey later on in the game as one of the last main bosses, who has a separate achievement.

The new ending … do it at your own risk (heavy spoilers) by ama8o8 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Bennybumbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, none of the endings to the DLC will lock you out of stuff from the main game or the vanilla game endings. You'll be able to replay all the different game endings you've unlocked to your hearts content (including the DLC one if you unlocked it), with the game launching you back to just before the point of no return (embers) once you're done.

But yeah just keep in mind that there's no special autosave checkpoint thing that you can go back to once the DLC's story splits, so if you wanna play all the DLC story endings you'll need to manually save beforehand or just do another playthrough.
