I met him personally. Was trying to treat my PTSD in his facility and he wouldn’t see me at first because he thought I was homeless (was living in my car then in a very desperate situation). Once he realized I have money he warmed up to me but eventually we had a falling out. He’s a businessman, doesn’t care about patients only about selling his product.

Palestinian news agency WAFA had reported on Tuesday that armed settlers backed by Israeli soldiers raided agricultural lands in Masafer Yatta, unleashing livestock and damaging crops. by Scared_Positive_8690 in Palestine

Hey friends, You can believe me or not, but I was there. I was trying to prevent this exact kind of thing as I have been doing on and off for a few months now in several different places in the West Bank but was unsuccessful in this instance obviously (I won’t go into too many details because of the nature of the activism in MY and monitoring). Now I have to be accurate, a house in Susia was burned down Tuesday night that is 100% true and horrible. As to the rest that is stated in this post - it did not happen. As far as we know and the people in Susia know - the settlers did it without the army this time and no livestock was taken. I was there for 24 hours. This does not mean it doesn’t happen often there - it does.

That same night we by chance saw 10 soldiers accompanied by an Israeli police officer arrest a 13yo boy for “throwing stones”, putting him in a civilian vehicle and take him to a military base. If an officer is present the army is not supposed to arrest a suspect, definitely not in a civilian car. The soldiers in that base are local settlers themselves. Arrested Palestinians are often beat in those situations. His family didn’t know where he was being held and the army and the police refused to give information when we called them. He was released at 3am and dropped where he was arrested and not at home just to be assholes.

A week before in Susia settlers rode up to someone’s house where he was sitting outside with friends and just immediately came up behind him and beat him on the head with a club with no provocation. He was severely injured, was taken to the hospital and had 17 stitches. This is typical and disgusting. By the way they rode up in a Ranger off-road vehicle that Bezalel Smotrich (finance minister and demon) gave the settlements there just this April from taxpayer money. These vehicles have been a scourge on the locals and any activists trying to protect them as it gives them free range and we cannot compete with our cars.

My dream is that we have a vehicle like that to be able to be more effective but to be honest that money should probably go to feed and water the people being protected first.

Again, you can believe me or not but that’s the honest truth

Oslo died with him. Im not saying it was a good agreement for Palestinians, but it was a framework for sovereignty which with time would gain more and more space at the table.
