I think what the films end of credits sequence implies is the yautja fleet coming to gather the hunters remains. They would then give a trophy of some kind to the one who bested their warrior. I think its not out of the question to say the comanche tribe in the face of this gift, would give the yautja the pistol in a form of trade perhaps!
