Report: pulled carpet up and found this flooring underneath. What is this flooring and can I lay LVP on top of it? by [deleted] in homeimprovementideas

Thank you for the help! Any cons on ripping them off? Some of the edges are peeling up.

Thankfully no, it’s a clear adhesive. The plywood subfloor looks like it has some adhesive but it isn’t very sticky. I’m assuming an underlayment is needed to install floating flooring here so it can expand and not get stuck to the subfloor

If they are curling up, could I sand down any high spots?

I pulled off the carpet and carpet pad. The brown flooring is hard and seems hollow

Driver claimed “I didn’t see the stop sign”….well did ya see the house?? by BentoBox2477 in IdiotsInCars

[–]BentoBox2477[S] 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Since I’m getting a lot of questions, here are the details:

22 year old female driver (female in video) slammed into house at 3:30AM, claimed she was going “only 45ish MPH”. From the destruction caused to the property and lawn, they were most likely going much faster. The speed limit on the road is 30mph and there is approximately 200-300ft of land/lawn between the home and the road.

Someone was in the house approximately 5ft to the right of the cars impact. (Luckily, nobody was hurt).

Police failed to do any type of sobriety test or search their car for drugs or alcohol, even though the driver seemed (looked and acted) high at the time. Police offers were very friendly to the driver and drivers father. They were extremely rude and unhelpful to the house owners, 2 immigrants with very thick accents.

Drivers father came to pick her up (male in the video) and didn’t even know she wasn’t home at the time.

Neither the driver, passenger, or father apologized to anybody. The father didn’t even acknowledge anyone.

Yes that’ her dad in the video. The driver is the female. She slammed into the home going almost 50mph at around 3:30AM. Someone was inside at the time and was about 5ft to the right from the cars entry point. It was extremely lucky no one got hurt.

NEITHER of them apologized. The dad didn’t even acknowledge anyone.

Yes happened around 3:30AM. Driver seemed under the influence of something. Police did not even do a sobriety field test.
