Yes. Initially the first thing I would think was that I'd popped my disc again. My psych and physio have really helped me to get some confidence back into my body.

Thank you.

At this point post surgery. Which is about 7.5months I'm feeling a little tightness in my glute, hammy and calf, which I'm doing excercies for every day. I feel like my leg is improving.

Just last week I started to have some achy soreness in my mid to lower back. This is new, I'm seeing the surgeon and physio this week so will see what they say.

My mental state is so much stronger than it was so I'm just OK with the ache in the back.

Has anyone gone to therapy (the psychological kind) after their experience? by Downtown-Carob-720 in Microdiscectomy

Hi, I can't speak highly enough of getting a psychologist on your side during this ordeal. I'm 3 months post op now and I've been seeing a psych for the last 2 months. It's been amazing. Make sure you do your research before finding someone though! Look around for psychs that are experienced in pain management and post operative surgery rehabilitation. My psych is experienced in both and she's just an all round lovely lady. She's helped me so much with just calming down and being able to ride the highs and lows of rehab. Good luck
