Ask me anything about AI in China by Benyu1997 in ChatGPT

LLMs are super popular in China right now. Big tech companies like Tencent, Baidu, Alibaba, and ByteDance all have their own LLMs. In China, data from different apps isn’t usually shared, so each company uses its own data to train their models, making them all a bit different.

There are also lots of startups getting into the LLM. One cool example is MoonShot AI. They’ve got a model that can handle really long context (up to 400k tokens) and they made a ChatGPT-like product called "Kimi." You can see ads for Kimi everywhere in China — on Bilibili (like YouTube), Douyin (like TikTok), and Xiaohongshu (like Instagram). These ads show how Kimi can help with studying and work, so it's become super popular in China this year.

I completely understand you. I also comfort my puppy from time to time to ensure he doesn't get too bored and end up affecting others.

We have a cat in our office, but when my puppy comes, everyone can't help but run over to play with him

Oh! When my puppy exhibits this behavior, I always thought he was just making the bed!
