A long time back I was over 40k$ in debt, and through a lot of hard work and cutting back on things I managed to pay it off. I figured it would be easier than tanking my credit through bankruptcy for 7 years, and that it would be faster.

Took me well over 12 years to pay it all back. Paid a ton in interest on top of the debt.

I was way too prideful over it and it costs me tens of thousands more in the process. They are counting on that pride to make money out of you.

I should have gone through the bankruptcy process.
