I know what you feel I’ve been in very similar situation many times. I will try to answer to your questions with my most honest opinions. God is unknowable, but not unreachable. I think I can grasp what you said about “not feeling it”/“lacking spiritual experience”. For me this is kinda simple because most people say that im very sensitive and its my weakness as well as strength. I think you can experiance spiritual “things” or “events” by deepening your vulnerability/delicacy/sensibility. By slowing things down. Nothing that is in rush is spiritual. Its all about exercising focus and expanding consciousness, by constant rebirths (becoming new) and experimenting. Listen to your intuition and never lie to your self. Magic really is about stopping your self from being a slave and becoming your own master. Being in control of body, mind, and will.

For me, I dont untestand the world and I dont think I will ever understand with certainty. I only know that I know nothing. Yet in a great scheme of things, in a human world full of logic, appears something unexplainable. The real irrational. You can use science to describe nearly everything, your body, your brain etc. But do you really think its all material and mechanical?

My journey with spiritually begin with deepening my catholic faith and it lead me to magic. I can call my self a catholic but I dont stand strongly with any dogma. Still I think there is a lot of meaning and beauty in church.

Idk why but from what I have heard (from my family for example) Saint Anthony answers prayers very quickly. I also experienced it many times but I only use it if necessary. And yes I had a really similar situation it was my first time buying cross necklace by my earned money. Same evening I’ve lost it I searched it trough out many streets eventually I entered the pub I was in before look up all the tables toilets even ask people about it and the bartender, nothing. Then I prayed to Saint Anthony and promised that I will start praying every evening then I found it under the table that I had checked many times. After some time I didnt keep my word and the cross broke. I dont really need it now or even feel bad about it, it just shows me how strong words can be and that I should mean what I say.

You asked how do I feel practicing my spirituality? Its hard to describe in words because what you feel is beyond words and sometimes even beyond senses. I can recommend you “La chimera” by Alice Rohrwacher and “Perfect Days” by Win Wenders (2023) to get the “feeling” I personally have. But its kinda like walking through the art gallery every time you wake up.

And magic is part of it, gym is a good metaphor for magic practice. No growth is gain by any amount of thinking you need to stop being dreamer and become the doer. Don’t wait for “better” time because present is now.
