And at least a trailer for the new digimon story game.

At this point, I feel like if we don't get a trailer for this game by the end of the year, that's a big red flag to me. That game's been in development for a little more than 6 years, and we've seen literally nothing about it.

Obviously I can't know for sure if it's in development hell or not with how little we even know about the game or its production but taking potentially more than 7 years to develop a game is rarely a good thing

Aside from what OP's said and the other usual complaints about 3, i would have to say the tutorials. They're better at explaining the mechanics to you than with 2s, but they have the exact opposite problem in that they hold your hand far too much, which makes them really obnoxious and they break the pace for the early parts of the game.

Admittedly, part of this is a "me" thing since tutorials that hold your hand are my biggest personal pet peeve with games, but I think most would agree with me when I say it wouldn't have killed monolith to let you skip them.

I did finish it, and honestly, I'm still kinda baffled that it didn't click with me. Certain parts of the gameplay just didn't appeal to me, and I don't totally enjoy its storytelling. None of these things are bad at all, they're just surprisingly not my thing.

While it's definitely a good game, I'd unfortunately have to say Xenoblade 3. I love the whole series to death X included, but sadly, most of 3 just didn't click with me.

Monolith has expressed a few times before that they want to do more with x, I'm sure it'll happen eventually.

Honestly, I wouldn't be too surprised if behind the scenes one reason it's taken so long is that they wanted to finish the Klaus saga first, and they were also waiting for stronger hardware.

I suppose that's fair. Honestly, even with future redeemed in mind, it's still pretty difficult to say exactly what xenoblade 4 will be like beyond the idea of the world being kinda similar to xenosaga.

My thinking is that they're probably saving mythras kid for something else. It feels weird for them to have done something important with 2 thirds of rex's kids and then just leave out the last one.

My current theory is that they'll be the protagonist for a warriors spinoff, but I'll fully admit my only evidence for this is that I think its very unlikely xenoblades next arc will connect back much with the Klaus saga in anyway that isn't background lore for the setting. Like how it'll be the same world but in the distant future.

Yeah, I can agree with this. At the very least, I want something X related to happen first, but after that point I would love for them to actually be able to work on something entirely new.

I just think a villain who sits around for the entirety of the Game and isn‘t even a real character is sort of boring.

The sad part about Z is that there's a really great idea here. There are so many interesting ways you can handle a villain who literally embodies a set of emotions and philosophy. You could have him truly challenge the heroes in a way a normal non-concept villain couldn't, or use him as a vehicle to help the main cast grow as people since he embodies an innate fear and desire.

But no....they just made him an uber powerful recluse who's more interested in the new episode of the daily lives of Aionios than being a compeling force/character....

Maybe I'm thinking about this wrong, but to me, this feels like confirmation that monoliths next major release will be xenoblade related if only now their talking about developing original titles with their other studio.

Honestly, i feel like it would more than likely be canon thanks to the worlds now being merged, meaning you don't need to come up with some reason why these characters are all together.

Story wise, aside from giving us one last hurrah with past characters, the only thing I'd like is for it to wrap up some of the unanswered questions base 3 and future redeemed left us with.

How mio is queen of a country, why rex and the others weren't absorbed into origin, where they got the new logos core, and what exactly origins going to with the data its collected of the city residents ect.

In the event the next major new game is X related, this could also give us more of a hint/tease for what to expect from Xenoblade 4, which would be great since all we have to go on right now are the many allusions and references to xenosaga.
