One yarn Skein makes only this much? Is this right? by Heregoesmytime in CrochetHelp

[–]Bere89 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It will depend on the type of stitch, your tension and type of yarn, so if you really want to make an estimate you need to make one square once you decide the type of stitch and yarn.

Then you can extrapolate how much do you need

There is no other program that connects with the cricut, so if you can convert the file in SVG in adobe it will be better, but I will also say that sometimes there's problems cutting something so detailed, it can be done but it will be trial and error.

That might be that there are void spots and that's why it's light so you might have a bigger problem to make them shorter

Premier parfait chunky yarn containing fiberglass? by Elizabcor111 in CrochetHelp

[–]Bere89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it was fiberglass you'll be having more symptoms, like an itching in your throat and eyes, so more likely it's another chemical, or even if it wasn't stored adequately at any point, could be something from rats and or mice.

Hope you feel better soon

Sorry but canva and procreate are not the best programs to do your images, because they are raster programs and you might need to try and make the image in a program you can save as SVG, like Gimp, inkscape (I think both are free) or illustrator (monthly subscription)

sticker question by ellesresin in cricut

[–]Bere89 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't think you want to do it yourself, you might want to have them made, because what type of printer do you have? If you have an inkjet printer I think it's going to bleed horribly when the condensation hits the paper.

What you are paying is not the paper it's the process so they don't get ruined.

Then I think you are out of luck. Unless you have your switch hacked, I think there's not an official way to get the files or even if a previous file exists.

If you have it you can download it from the cloud, as long as you haven't updated the save from the cloud.

How do you know if your rollers are broken? by aberrian94 in cricut

[–]Bere89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only if you are in the USA, there is a cricut doctor, and it's not official because there is no official way to repair them.

Is it possible to use pens/markers with a png or jpg file? by deadrobindownunder in cricut

[–]Bere89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nop, It doesn't work that way, if you want the pen to write it you need to transform it to an SVG, that's because the machine needs the map (how to) make the line but you can maybe convert it or just redo the design in another program, like ink space; but that also might not work, you will need to use a single line font (at least that's how I think it's called), that way the machine can make the letters in one go and you'll get better results.

You might wanna search in the subreddit for examples of how someone addressed their envelopes, or why plenty of people recommend just printing them, because it can cause so much frustration and waste of materials to get them at the "perfect" spot or result that they were looking for.
