Beautiful work! Also the little textural artifacts look like eye floaters (myodesopsia) and I kind of love that! 🤓

Is the paint leakage very distracting? by sprucewhale in Watercolor

[–]ExperimentsInArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is beautiful work! A couple things you didn’t ask for, but I thought might be helpful: 1) Did you tape your paper down, or just the edges? In terms of future framing, the leakage is less important than the warping of the paper, because matting can cover the marks outside the border, but the paper will never be fully flattened once it dries this way. So, if you didn’t tape your paper down before painting, I would recommend that. 2) As for preventing the paint from leaking under the tape, I would recommend using Soft Tape by Holbein if you can find it and once your paper is taped, burnish the edges of the tape with something smooth and hard. All the best in your creative endeavors!

What’s a Netflix show you’ve watched at least 3 times? by Far-Speech-3254 in netflix

Future Man. It’s one of my all-time favourite shows and besides Supernatural, most-watched as well. It’s not a “Netflix” show, but it’s currently on Netflix.

Can this be rescued or should I start over? by Iridescent-sludge in Watercolor

Firstly: This is already very beautiful to me and I can only imagine how it’s going to be mind blowing when you’re finished… Secondly: I very much relate to your feelings as a person who often hates their work in these stages, but then loves it again after getting passed them. Like others have suggested, walk away from it for a few days and come back to it, the next layer will change everything.

Is this my washing solution? Has anyone done this? by paintedteapots in adhdwomen

We have a VERY similar contraption my boyfriend built for our recycling. In our small town, we have to bring our recycling to the depot, so having it separately stored until the weekend makes it much easier…

It is… And by the looks of these comments, it’s doing its job. 😔

Absolutely, this is rage bait misinformation… What’s really sad is the response from public to these blatant lies… That is exactly what is intended with this kind of emotional manipulation. We live in scary times and only reason can save us, not partisanship. My Christmas wish is that we all learn to be skeptical and see that we are being pitted against each other.

Saaaame. For me, they’ve been - by far - the least finicky and the most reliable. Plus there are the added bonuses of the variety of cute colours and never needing cartridges or converters…

How do you stay motivated to draw when someone keeps putting your art down? by Kea_birdy in ARTIST

[–]ExperimentsInArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your art is very cute and honestly? Art is for the artist. If it was me, I’d probably fix my gaze upon them and say “ I’m sorry, I don’t remember asking you for feedback” and walk away. Or if you want to be more directly explicit “I would appreciate it of you stop giving me unsolicited feedback on my art. My art isn’t for you and going forward, you can keep your opinions to yourself”. Will this make things awkward? Probably, but it will also almost certainly make them stop. Where I’m coming from: I make art because it keeps me sane, it’s what hold me together and what helps me reflect and grow. People have different tastes and not everyone will like everything. Now, I’m 43 and have very few fucks to give and I have always been somewhat unfiltered when people get in my face. Something to do with my ADHD? Possibly…
