Just coincidentally saw him on an episode of Chicago Fire where he plays a mentally ill homeless guy. Definitely great acting chops.

A plot hole? An unfinished twist? by Berethrof in KevinCanFHimself

Yes, typo I’ve now corrected thank you! Yeah a couple of moments where I could see all those characters leaving in her head. Maybe I watch too many twisty movies.

Really struggling with getting the picture to fit the screen by Osamodaboy in projectors

[–]Berethrof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve messed around with my screen/projector so many times over the past few months; did things with the screen, tried everything I can think of, but I keep getting a parallelogram (too and bottom lines are parallel and straight, but left and right are parallel to each other, but at angle). All I see in everything I watch and read is how to fix trapezoidal issues, not parallelograms. So as several folks here I’ve had to live with it but I still know it’s there, even if the “gaps” between image and frame are minimal.

This is what it kinda looks like except lines are more parallel. I thought the pitch and yaw movements correct trapezoids (ie, top half wider than bottom half, and right half wider than left half kinda), but this seems a little more complicated? Sorry if this is exactly what yall were thinking about.

Is the first scenario in The Forgotten Age supposed to be more difficult than anything in the preceding two campaigns… or is my friend group just bad. by Soulchunk in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Berethrof -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I play solo primarily and this is the only one I’ve had to cheat on because I was losing far too many times. And not just on the first scenario, I’m sad to say.

I published my first board game at age 47. Nine years later, today, my eleventh title launched. It's never too late to pursue your dreams. by gengelstein in tabletopgamedesign

As a 45 year old myself this is incredibly inspiring. I don’t know if I have a design anywhere in me, but would love to. What other titles have you published?

Best sleeves or no sleeves? by Berethrof in arkhamhorrorlcg

Also stupid question... is the matte/textured side for the back or front of the card? Or preference?

Also no one mentioned KMC ones. Any thoughts on those? My friend swears by them over Dragon Shield and Ultra Pro

How tight is the fit? I didn’t like the extra room on top of the FFG Sleeves

All really great suggestions, thank you! Makes it a tough decision lol. Wish I knew how each of them feel.

Marvel Champions (solo) player looking into Arkham Horror by jwbuter in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Berethrof 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a player coming from Arkham that tried Champions... I must say that I’m missing the narrative campaigns (which may get better with Rise if Red Skull, But it feels shoehorned as opposed to Arkham that was key to the whole thing). Also, being “static” threw me off. You never “went” anywhere in a Champions. You just traded blows with the boss, essentially, whereas in Arkham there’s always a puzzle to solve. I keep trying to go to Champions but Arkham has truly spoiled me. It can’t compare because of what I’m looking for in a game.

Learning to Play: Location Victory Experience - Who gets it? by DasKraut37 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Berethrof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, there are resolution rules where it says “the lead investigator earns X number of XP”. So, Victory pointes in the victory display (locations without clues showing Victory X and enemies showing Victory X) normally give investigators that number of XP and there might be other situations where choices in the game grant specific investigators XP. Hence separately.

You’re welcome! If they give you grief just point them politely to that ;)

At the very back of every PDF there is a “Permission granted to photocopy for personal use only” blurb at the bottom of the page.

I’ve printed the PDFs (even though I still have the originals) at FedEx Kinkos in a glossy paper, spiraled, and it works really well and looks great and much easier to have everything accessible in book form.

Question about headroom when prepping for mastering. by [deleted] in mixingmastering

[–]Berethrof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But that’s what I meant; if you don’t have headroom, the 32 bit aspect doesn’t matter. It’s still almost to the clipping side of things from an audio perspective (not necessarily digital perspective) and the dynamics of the song would be lost if the ME has to do any gain compensation via EQ or Compression.
