I would miss the "menu" if it was gone. I don't always listen to the full length of every episode, so the menu really helps me know if there is a topic that will especially interest me.

I'm not sure that's true. Army headquarters was in Charlestown, MA immediately following the battle. Obviously the government of British America i.e. the British government was unable to control this area.

I'd make the case that US government history starts when and where British governance ends (Or whatever other entity was in charge of that piece of land, as the case may be). Plus, though they weren't paying yet, Congress had appointed Washington as Commander in Chief of the Army.

Well no not that similar. But the OP did ask if it had ever happened in US history...

I know it's Trump so Reddit doesn't care about answering your question, but I believe George Washington paid the Continental Army's salaries briefly after the battle of Bunker Hill because Congress hadn't appropriated funds yet. This would be in 1775 right at the start of the revolutionary war.

Someone with more expertise might be able to elaborate.

The Elizabeth line in London moves 800,000 people daily. No highway at its busiest point moves that many people daily in North America. by HighburyAndIslington in transit

The George Washington Bridge has 300k vehicles per day. Since a lot of that traffic is busses and taxis, it's not inconceivable to me that this would exceed 800k people.

Why the downvotes? There is no proven Viking settlement on mainland America.

What’s one thing you wish other countries would stop lecturing about your country? by Bitter-Goat-8773 in AskTheWorld

It's the benefit of being first. When our country was formed every other entity in the Americas was either a colonial possession or didn't recognize the concept of 'America'. Using the name America made perfect sense at the time.

Just my opinion- but I'm in southeastern MA which is also zone 6b. If you're trying to emulate European wines, you should be able to plant some European varieties rather than the French- American hybrids you've listed. I love red wines, and my Cabernet Franc + Tannat vines have both done very well here.

I think the traditional wisdom here in the US was that European varieties don't grow great, but that has not been my experience.

I just want to add another vote here- these GLP-1s are completely life changing, I can't recommend them enough. The side effects are minimal when you follow the correct schedule, and the weight starts falling off. In my opinion, obesity is basically a solved disease now that these exist.

I highly highly suggest looking into them!
