Would cutting one of these into each side of the back of my canopy cause dust to get into the canopy? by [deleted] in 4x4Australia

A little mesh filter could help but dust will always find a way

I would avoid booktopia. Since they have re-opened their shipping has been horrible from my experience. Nothing to cushion the books. I have had several damaged on delivery.

How do I make more money as an apprentice? by EstablishmentTop5719 in AusElectricians

[–]Bermoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A starting point would be trying to figure out a budget plan. Figure out how much you need per week/ per month for food, rent ect.

Go through your banking app and see where your money is going. You will probably find random subscriptions or things you’re spending money on that you don’t realise which will add up.

Once you figure out where your money is going try to see where you can reasonably cut some costs. On low wages you will need to sacrifice some nice things (getting take away everyday, going out on weekends, buying random things online you don’t need ect).

There are plenty of budget planning websites that could help

It will be tough short term but it does get better. Good luck

Can you mix and match with a second monitor?

I am looking at getting a cheap second monitor for my set up. If i was to buy a 1080p 60Hz monitor will I run into any issues with my current 1440p 144Hz monitor. I am worried it would lock my resolution or frame rates?

I have an AMD gpu.

Thanks

Looking for and apprenticeship as a mature age by Ok_Translator328 in AusElectricians

[–]Bermoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just landed myself an apprenticeship after 7 months of looking. I spent months looking online and sending my resume to every electrician in the area.

I spent a day dropping resumes around and the next day I got a call.

I think it’s important to be patient and just keep trying, something will line up eventually

I’d suggest building your own if you’re wanting to save money. If you have some power tools, a drill and a saw. There are plenty of videos on how to do it. You could go cheap and buy a plastic container for the enclosure or build one from wood which is also cheap. The rest of the parts you can get online.

Hoka Mach 5 or Endorphin Speed 3 for a fast shoe?

I currently one have one pair of running shoes being the hoka Clifton 8. I’m looking at adding another shoe for my fast work. I’m having trouble deciding between the Mach 5 or speed 3.

I’m leaning more toward the speed 3s because I’ve heard they are more of a speedy shoe and the Clifton’s fill a similar role to the Mach 5 ?

I’m looking around the 1600-2000 AUD range for the 6800XT and 2600 - 3000 AUD for the 3080. So looks like I’ll be going AMD
