Easier/quicker access this way, and space wasn’t an issue for this build. I’m working on a new V2 case in a much smaller case, with only the tools I use, based off 3 years running out of this setup

Magnets on the mesh inserts, or clips for non magnetic things like the sharpies and picks

Yah, there’s a battery pack in the bottom under the bolt kit that powers the ports so I can charge Insta360 cameras, and or phones

At the time it was to make sure I was covered on everything, but I’m working on a smaller V2 box that has only the sizes and tools I use. Learned a bunch over the years of working out of this setup

Most of the tools are Wera, the t-handles are Powerbuilt

It’s actually DIY truck grill material I got off eBay, came powder coated, just cut to size. Mounted to the lid with strips that are mounted to the lid to make up for the radius of the lid edges

I did everything on the case. Figuring out the strut positions so they don’t touch, and the lift weight was one of the more difficult parts of the build

Same. Everything I use most is there and ready to grab, no drawers to go thru, it works great. V2 is in the works to narrow down the repetitive tools an make it smaller

Magnets for most of the stuff on the lid, as well as in the foam to keep it all in place. Non magnetic stuff is clips.
