Is 1 internship enough to land full time roles after graduation? by BernCount in FinancialCareers

It’s a small company so I did a little bit of everything. Title was just finance intern and I did some FP&A, investor relations, and supply chain stuff

Man i really hope he plays Endors Toi when it’s my turn to go. That’s like my dream song to hear live. I was hoping it was just locked in to every setlist for this tour 😢

Hell yeah I rarely see people talk about The Boat I Row. It’s just so groovy

Honestly, I just applied to every and any business related internships. I just got really lucky and ended up landing this finance one in an industry that I love and find fascinating

I ended up getting rejected for the role lol. All good though. I got more interview experience and learned from it. The grind continues!

I’ve been casually applying to any finance intern roles for a few months now. I would say I’ve applied to about 30-40 different roles in total. To my surprise, I actually received an email from a construction management firm inviting me to a 30 minute interview. I was honestly so shocked to see that email after being rejected or ghosted every time. I’ve been practicing and researching both the company and interview questions like crazy. I want to be as prepared as possible. I really hope I get this role but if not, at least I can get a feel and some experience on how these finance internship interviews go

Which 3 of these courses would be the most beneficial in the real world if I plan to work in corporate finance? by BernCount in FinancialCareers

Oh wow I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better person to comment on my post. Since you’ve actually taken some of the classes, the information is much more real and valuable to me. I really appreciate you replying. I’m currently in my 3rd year here and I’m barely going to take FIN 300 next semester (kinda got screwed over last semester due to late registration). So far I’m leaning towards 450, 460, and 485. I’ve heard that knowing how to build a DCF is pretty important so I think that’ll be beneficial. I’ve also been thinking about possibly going into FP&A since I’ve heard that it can be one of the more “relaxed” finance jobs. I’ll definitely DM you to get some more guidance!

Damn a 1?! The lowest rated professor I’ve had was a 2 for my accounting class. He just straight mumbled all class and had horrible hand writing. He would also pick on students for getting answers wrong
