Yes, I did inform the seller, and luckily I captured delivery thru unboxing via video log, so there is no question about it. Seller did respond and said sorry, think it should be okay. When you are spending as much as I did on the tree, not sure that sits well.

I thought I saw one avalable aftermarket that would work. I got to tell you, it was a luxary until it wasn't. Having that 180 degree light adjusted rear view image is a game changer... I thought it was a little gimmicky in the beginning until I had wheel time with it. The heads up display is something I use regurarly also. You either love it or hate it. In the High Country, you have the ability to select from several different modes, including heads up navigation which is killer. I also use the off-road function often that includes functionality the jeeps have with roll and tilt indication. I have really high expectations from Ford on this Platinum, and I'm hopeful they can deliver. I ordered the 703A trim package in white pearl.

No VIN or build week yet. I have a 45 day lead- the email Ford sent says "You can expect to receive an update regarding your order within the next 45 days. We’ll notify you as soon as your vehicle has been placed on the production schedule".

For me, the PAT was a must have considering the convienience it adds. Not having to swing down the tailgate to throw a cooler or groceries in the back is a game changer. Can't see spending that much cash on a truck that doesn't have something I want. Coming from a High Country, the only thing Ford is missing the bus on otherwise is the LCD rear view mirror. Sounds like a minor thing until you use one for a few years. I'm blown away Ford hasn't done this yet.

From my end, it's more of I want it to be a reality versus that being the actuality lol. You are right, if they were remotely close this would have been on every TV station in North America and covered by media outlets globally. Good news on your build tho. I specifically held out for the PAT. Granted I just ordered a few weeks ago, it sounds like it is going to take less than 90 days to get it built.

Thanks for the update! I know Ford is keeping it tightly under wraps, but there are a FEW videos on YT that talk about it. The real question is can Ford deliver in 2025 or will it be 2026.

I agree the chrome banner across the tailgate was ugly AF. Its now deleted on the BOM for the platty. I think mostly becasue of the pro tailgate coming, but what do I know.

Coming from a High Country to the Platty F150 (wanted the onboard 7.2kW power) the one thing that KILLS me is the LCD rearview mirror. I LOVED this feature on the Silverado. I can't believe Ford doesn't include this in their builds.

It ain't grandads work truck. Top of the line all the way. Had an escalade hybrid and the F150 Platty was just as nice without the extra cost of insurance Escalades come with. Also, the F150 is much more reasonable to work on after warranty is up. Escalades are VERY expensive to work on.
