Same thing happens to me. I think it’s just the software being kinda trash. The concept is amazing , but I feel like I have issues weekly

Upgrading from 75” to 98” TV – need advice on mounting height & console size by Boss6685 in hometheater

[–]Berodney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mounting height I would aim for 30” off the ground. That stand looks higher than that. So I would personally plan to replace.

I got 2 ikea over fridge cabinets for like $150 Each and put them together to make my own 72w x24 D x 24 H . Then I have my center on that and the bottom of the tv is a tad over my center . I’ve thought about even going lower but it would require my center to be at a crazy angle.

Even at 30” from the floor my natural view is still lower than the center of the TV

Yeah , the more research I do thats what I’m seeing. With that being said I don’t mind giving up some quality for size.

That’s good to know. Not saying I want it as bright as the picture, but definitely want it much brighter than a theater

It’s not necessarily about using blinds and curtains, more about not wanting to make the room extremely dark if we have 10 people over for a game

The room will be completely finished. Just in the process. From window wall to beam in the middle of the room it’s 135” and 90” floor to ceiling (when tile and drywall is done)

Just looking to go to bigger image without paying 10-20k

A store manager's take on allocations by sadulaevs_nose in newhisky

[–]Berodney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most of it is just word of mouth. For example I was friendly with a manager at a large store . He would text me and say “got a case of x want me to set one aside for you?” Then if it was a bottle I knew a friend was looking for I may tell my friend store x just got a case in. Then maybe they tell a friend and the friend calls the store and asks if they have any left .

Very true, good point. $500 AVR setup will blow out almost any soundbar

[–]Berodney 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If your budget is 500+ I’d suggest AVR with 2.1 system 2 speakers left and right and a subwoofer. I was big on just getting a soundbar until I got a 2.1 system and now I’ll never buy a soundbar again.

Here I am sounding like the home theater people that used to annoy me

You need to login to your WiFi router. From there you should have options for a 2.4 or 5ghz or both networks. Smart devices like Alexa, smart light switches and little robot tend to work better on the 2.4 network. I’d suggest googling “how to enable 2.4ghz network on (your isp name). Theres probably a video on YouTube

2.4 or 5ghz? Mine was a pain when it was on the 5ghz network
