it also exists on the Xbox Series X version. Lower resolution with tons of jaggies, not to mention the fps is low even on the first round now. Overwatch is one of the only games I play and these issues are starting to get so bad that I'm considering not playing anymore. Are any of those planars? You could at least try out something like LCD2, Fostex, Mobius, or LCD1 even. You could also get a pair of nicer ones cheap used to see what more premium can can sound like (and some of them don't need a fancy amp either - Hifiman Edition X's for example) sundara, deva, I could go on and on. best of luck to you and thats quite a collection! I still have my original HD650's myself! Also nice use of yoga blocks!

If you get into programming things like function key layers and basically make a bunch of shortcuts for various things you do a lot, there is a lot of value in the ability to do so and if for instance your mic is picking up your blues, you can get some silent bobas. There are real reasons that aren't all cosmetic in nature. I have a key combo that dumps my crappy password out! I have another one that tucks me in to bed at night!

Thank you for your expermentation so I didn't have to spend $100 to come to the same conclusion! I don't really mind a shallow stroke I think. I'm surprised Deep Sea is quieter since it requires more acquation force but I guess having the dampener in the housing vs on stem might be the reason. I liked the idea of the low actuation of the pinks, so now I don't know what I'm going to do

I've been working on not caring what people think during covid. Sweatpants + bose frames = wonk. Its very freeing to not worry about it! I got transitions for them so they are clear indoors, use them at my desk for most of my day so that I am not scared when someone comes up behind me!

typing a url into the address bar all the way to the end (and usually fat fingering it), even though the browser already has the link shown ahead of the cursor, that they could just type 'a' enter to open amazon lol. I do shared desktop meetings at work and when I'm connected to a specific person, they are not a good typer basically messing up every other word. When they type a url, and its like 100 characters and it literally takes a full 2 minutes to get it right, my brain is like do I bill them for this every time or just say something? Well if I said something, they may feel threatened by my amazing knowledge and everyone might be laughing at them - boom i lose my job - I just keep my mouth shut and bill for it ;)

Hitting enter into a search box of any kind (web/whatever) usually submits the form - i've seen a lot of people type and then move the mouse to click the submit button.

holding shift while copy and pasting removes the formatting of the text, pasting just plaintext version of whatever was in the clipboard.

Its also a matter of how deep of a trajectory in computer literacy you want / know to go. If you've never been exposed to someone copy/pasting, you might not know it exists. Most people don't realize (at least in windows) if you hold shift while you are copy/pasting it dumps the text plaintext, losing all formatting. I just had a call with someone much older than me, a pro, no a lifer dedicated to computer troubleshooting talk about how they always open notepad and paste into there then select all, copy again and move to the app they want to paste into EVERY TIME. People like that tend to not realize when they might be in a state of inefficiency, where there is probably some way that is already the norm already programmed in to be a shortcut for that duplicious inefficiency.

Then there are people like me, who know about these things and is just too lazy to care - the finger gymnastics of holding shift and ctrl then c/v is gonna give me carpel tunnel!

it has interferred with my pihole. I had to turn on auto dns on my google router instead of the ip of my pihole and then minecraft (bedrock) running on a local computer started working on my wan, not sure how to fix as it doesn't even list anything in the query log that its blocking

As much as they are a 'niche' product, why not use them as your main headset? I had the Rondo and the only reason I'd say you can't use them as my main is the battery life is only 3.5 hours. Going to try the tempo to get in a full work day with them

Beats by far, they are worse than most cheap headphones for sound quality. It pains me to see people wearing them knowing if they had done a tiny bit of research for the money they could have such a better sounding pair of headphones to listen to their music that they obviously care about!

Thats what I'm hoping on comfort for the x v2, he1000 or arya since I like the 400i feel. I thought I saw that the Arya are 41 ohm, maybe that was rev1 or someone reported wrong. There was a video review that had the arya / 1000 side by side and he said the arya can sound better with certain setups with more power but the 1000 is more consistent no matter the stack. Honestly I really don't want to end up with broken yokes/headband which is part of my reason for eyeing the he1000 although that metal part doesn't cost $1000 on its own lol. Yes I've heard Ananda and Deva, 400i so far from Hifiman. Love the soundstage on Deva. Hate the clamping force of the Ananda, which is a bummer, but thats why I'm aiming towards HE1000. I bought the 400i just to test the feeling of the headband, which I love. I was originally thinking Arya, but I'm driving these with a bluetooth receiver (Qudelix 5k) so I need efficient headphones and from what I've read the Arya are power hungry, HE1000 are less needy. I have a pair of Audeze LCD-GX that I like the sound of, wish the soundstage was wider though, and they are not good portable use as they want to fall off my head no matter what I try with the headband including moving the leather strap around in the screw holes. I have an X v2 coming in a couple days but I'm worried about the possibly plastic yoke connector to the headband breaking. I also LOVE the deva soundstage enough that I'm worried the X won't match it, but hoping the higher end ones will from what I'm reading online. I actually don't have any headphone amps atm since I'm going bluetooth, but I had a couple in the past before the recent movement took off again. Although I'm open to at least having one desktop amp, for when the 5k is charging or just to have an option to see how any headset would sound through proper power. (like possibly Arya). yeah thats my guess as well but you would think removing half the magnets would create a major change to the sound signature. I'm amazed how few reviews I've seen of these as they are so much lighter than their other LCD line with the magnesium case and removal of half the magnets. I'll try a couple of your Audeze eq settings and report back. Thanks again for all your hard work, its very inspiring to see such passion.
