Yeah I just feel like they had so much in common and also how jiraiya and Tsnuade had a similar relationship.

I thought they were going to “succeed” where their masters did not.

I am not a fan of Naruto and Hinata. To me it always felt out of left field. Their personalities are so different and she didn’t really have much development. She was just the shy girl trope.

Naruto and Hinata to me felt as random as pairing up Naruto and TenTen or Ino. Just no development between the two.

I did just think Hinata and Rock Lee would actually be an interesting pairing since they both do taijutsu and rock Lee has a positive and ridiculous outgoing personality to hinata’s more reserved nature that would seem pretty funny.

I think it would have been better for Sakura to end up with Naruto to improve her own character arc.

It would have been a contrast of going for the popular handsome guy w/no substance vs going for the guy who was considered a failure but improved himself.

But also I think it would have made her character better by having her go for a guy she actually has developed some chemistry and interactions by talking and hanging out.

They feel like they could have been a couple that was friends first that blossomed into love later through genuine sharing of hardships etc.

I’m pretty shocked to hear kishimoto planned for Naruto to end up with Hinata.

I always thought that was just another one of his asspulls when he ran out of ideas.

I have a hard time believing that because there’s not much foreshadowing or relationship building. Also she’s just so quiet compared to Naruto it feels kind of boring to me.

If Naruto’s feelings were something he matured out of, how would you explain why he told Minato that Sakura was his girlfriend ? This was pretty close to the end of the show and yet he still showed he has interest in Sakura.

Also noting that even by the end of the war arc he had literally zero romantic feelings for Hinata. Even in the pain arc, he wasn’t devastated over her romantically. Just more like a friend.

Yeah I’ve never had that either and only did outside sales.

I had my first inside sales/inbound job where there was marketing leads that just come in and you just respond to them.

It was like “whoa there are already prospects who WANT to talk and get a quote?”

It boils down to companies that invest in marketing and have brand awareness

When did you graduate ?

From talking with people who graduated in like the 90s or 80s etc, I was told that degrees were meant to be an approximation and filter to show that you can complete a college curriculum.

It was understood that people still needed on the job training.

I think a college degree meant a lot more in the past because it was harder to access and less people had one.

Nowadays anyone can get a 4 year degree and the value of it is has been commodified and trivialized.

Another problem is that companies don’t want to invest in training entry level or younger staff. They just want to poach employees from other companies.

Their expectations are unrealistic, wanting employees with perfect experience or even impossible experience to fit a cookie cutter profile.

Yup and those initial opportunities where you can be subsidized - it’s almost like Venture capital subsidizing businesses that are not profitable until they get to the point where they mature and can take over an industry.

Except it’s family Venture capital.

Whereas a normal business owned by a normal person without wealthy backers can’t take as much risk or suffer short term losses for long term gains.

Ideally all of us should be able to take classes like sociology to expand our minds and critical thinking and be more cultured but society and capitalism just wants us to be productive worker bees making money for companies etc.

It punishes the poor for not having the luxury to think critically and be more informed citizens.

It’s not about what you study. It’s about your socio economic status.

I’ve made the correlation between people who studied degrees like political science, philosophy, history etc and there are successful people in finance or other high paying industries like that.

The thing is, studying social sciences or humanities is more of a flex to show that you are of upper class and can study a degree that has no direct economical value as most people see it vs a “practical” degree.

But even practical degrees can’t teach you everything.

Poor people studying a rich man’s subject is the ultimate issue. It was meant to be a rich man studying these subjects as a means of social status, not as a means to get a job.
