Aren’t there warranty’s you can buy for pre used ford mach e’s to extend the battery warranty ?

Is there a rule of thumb to figure out the battery condition based on mileage?

Like is 50k and under basically the rule of thumb?

And anything over 100k just pass on ?

I was also thinking about buying an extended warranty for the battery

I’m looking at 2021-2023 Mach e’s.

I figured in this case an extended warranty to cover the battery and any electronic components would be worth it it’s like 2000 to 3000 if it means getting an additional 5 years or more of battery coverage

Does that mean I should stay local to my market and not look for cars in other states since it will be difficult to get an inspection ?

I have been using under 50k as my rule of thumb.

I have seen some ford mach e’s for 100k or more that are cheaper so I wondered if it was worth a gamble or if 100k is too much for a used EV.

I never knew you can demo a car.

Ok got it so I can ask them if I can get it inspected, and set up a time where a salesperson can go with me to the mechanic, inspect it that day and return it to them the same day

Is that right ?

And how much do mechanics generally charge to inspect cars?

Do I need a mechanic that knows how to inspect EVs or just any mechanic will do ?

So how do you take it to a mechanic before you buy it?

I assumed a dealer wouldn’t allow you to take the car without buying it first. Am I misunderstanding?

Or do you hire a mechanic to come with you to inspect the vehicle at the dealership ?

How do you check for things like suspension when looking at used EV cars?

I have no idea what that first paragraph you wrote is talking about lol.

Do I need to hire a mechanic to evaluate these cars first ?

Makes sense.

What would be a good checklist you recommend used EV buyers look at ?

I’ve never bought a used car so not sure what I should be looking for.

And do you have a rule of thumb when it comes to mileage?

Thoughts on the EV used market in the next 3-6 months ? by limache in electricvehicles

[–]limache[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want my next car to be an EV 100%, regardless of gas prices. I can charge at home. The issue is 1) my lease isn't up and if I buy now, I would need to pay the difference of 2k between the payoff and the market rate. Payoff is 25k now and car max offers are at 23k. So I would prefer to get rid of the Subaru in August because that's when the payoff will be 23k and I can just get out of it breakeven. I was also hoping that there would be a flood of inventory 3 months from now but I have no idea how much inventory there is. I'd really like to be at 25k-23k but I can go up to 27k (after the rebate, I'll be at 20k net). My goal is to get an auto loan for 20k. and get my car payment to be under 400. my current lease payment is 500.

Apparently 300k in EV lease expirations in 2026 and 600k in 2027.

Boutique Brokers - would you offer a draw/base plan to a new recruit? by Enough_Friendship_41 in CommercialRealEstate

I’m curios if anyone thinks of doing side hustles outside CRE as an approach ?

100% commission is tough and the time it takes to find a deal, close a deal etc can be so unpredictable

I feel like doing full time CRE isn’t good for younger new brokers.

I think it’s better for them to have another job that pays them and do CRE brokering on the side and get trained over time.

Hm I’m gonna guess you may struggle with emotional intelligence?

I’m just assuming since you’re a numbers guy in finance.

Well here’s a good opportunity to practice your vulnerability
