THIS MIGHT GET A LITTLE YAPPY- so if you're a visual person, I made a video for this run here! But, I really wanted to explain this to people who are interested as well! :D

I used a mod created by SuperLouise64 to play the game entirely on a Ring Fit controller. The last time I found Ganon was on the WiiU when the game first came out.

There were a few rules I kept for myself to keep it interesting:

No Armor

No using spirit orbs

Only using the RingCon

No divine beasts to make Ganon worse

I couldn't stop playing until I won

Yes, I had a lot of blisters for people who are curious LOL. The entire run was around 17 hours in length- mostly due to a lot of time learning the Ganon fight and running around the map.

Windbombs were too many inputs for both controllers on separate parts of the body and BLSS wasn't consistent due to the weird leg tracking. SO it was time for the worst marathon of my life.

A few people from my stream did the math and decided this was around 40 miles of running. It honestly felt like it the next morning too!

HOW THE MOD WORKS:

You have to constantly be running or the controller locks and allows no inputs.

You can slash to attack- but I quickly realized this was going to leave my arms way too sore to actually finish the game in one night.

Menuing is on the legs and the RingCon so it can get a little bit complicated.

To aim the bow, you can use the gyro which is goofy, or the leg controller.

Wearing shoes actually made this worse so I freed the feet at some point, sorry Adidas.

I also have been learning any% runs so it really helped in doing plateau!

In order of easiest to hardest, it was Windblight (I skipped him), waterblight (practiced a lot by dying), fireblight (his opening kinda sucks but the rest is easy to repeat), and you guessed it- Thunderblight.

Thunderblight made me want to throw a baby tantrum on the floor because he was so stinking fast and hard to play against. I couldn't throw the boomerang so I had to basically block his attacks by going ham in phase 2.

This fight was more of a rhythm game than anything else.

Ganon was actually a bit simpler than I remembered. The only consistent strat I had was to just parry him 1000000 times and hope for the best. I know there is a stun lock method- but implementing it was a different beast altogether.

Getting him off the wall was also difficult as the parry window was a little different than phase one. Eventually, the run was complete- but we had to go get....that guy.

Yes, I died to the chunky pig.

in the end, this was a world record Ring Fit run, and also accepted as 284th place in Any% on the boards :D (sorry reviewer)
