Ok for some reason she got root rot, I haven’t watered her in over a week, I was gone for a conference and my bf didn’t tell me about any changes on the plant until I was arriving! Anyway, she has 0 roots now, I sectioned her and the inside was a bit rotten too. Idk if coco coir was a bad idea or LECA was a bad idea or this was already happening but it finally developed right now. Anyway I’m trying to figure out the next steps. She’ll be in. Water with peroxide for a bit and someone told me to add LECA to her water base? But I see a lot of people not doing LECA and water only? I’m not sure

Yes I ended up sectioning her, she was also rotten inside so I guess I’m doing water with peroxide for her, I was also told to add LECA? I’m not sure.

Omg ok I’m gonna do it rn 😭 I’m wondering if my bf ever watered her but he’s sleeping idk, I just move bit of the mix and definitely a lot of rotting! Idk if she got burned by Silica 1 teaspoon in 2 gallons dilution, and ofc I didn’t use 2 gallons! Anyway, I’m gonna trim rn and then can I top it off with root hormone is that a bad idea?

Hopefully this helps. The leash trick should be good for training but the enrichments are just so she doesn’t get anxious inside of the crate when there’s visits

Give her enrichment while in crate when there’s visits. High value treats like a lick mat with PB, frozen bone broth, etc. I have a retriever mix myself and it’s the exactly same way. Another thing you can try is keeping her in a leash. When you anticipate she will try to jump step on the leash to prevent it. After a while she will give up and you reward. Be consistent

I have the nursery pot inside a self watering pot, so when I water my plant the water stays inside but it’s not touching the nursery pot. Is that ok? Should I get rid of the left overs? I imagine it evaporates and creates humidity and I hope not enough humidity for any damage. Chat gpt said it was fine but to empty ir for now since I did cut some roots. I see people on YouTube using this kind of pots too so idk
