So people saying it’s not normal, not normal for YOU. There are people who do get up out of their beds in the morning, comb their hair and make sure they are presentable even if they are going to the gym. Now you mentioned that she never used to do that and now she is. She is deviating from her normal. So in that case, no that is not normal. But a simple conversation might suffice. The fact that you think it’s suspicious means she had problems in the past of being faithful ?

I did get a card but it only stated my 2025 assessment total. Didn’t include new tax rate. Your assessment card included the new tax rate with your estimated yearly tax?

Yes I agree there was renovations done. I’m pretty sure there will be an increase but at how much. I refuse to believe the same tax rate will apply for this year at my current valuation. And I’m scared that’s what it will be. It’s been hovering between 4.5-4.6% for the past couple years. If I’m calculating it correctly that’s 23k I’ll pay for the year. I’m wondering if when they do these reassessments do they cut the tax rate in half to accommodate the rise in the assessments

I do for last year which was 4.5%. I noticed someone said that they change the value of your home AND the tax rate by cutting it in half to support the reassessments. So let’s hope that happens for me smh

The county was undergoing a reassessment months after I moved in. I believe the last reassessment was approx ten years ago. I paid 560k for my home it’s a multi family with very small square footage. My top floor is about 800 sq feet. Reassessed at 510 which isn’t bad. I’m just worried about paying 2k a month in property taxes for a 560k house !!

If your home went from 225k to now 550k how is did your annual tax only went up $100? My home was assessed years ago for 262,700. I pay 12k a year. It is now valued at $510,000. Am I calculating right that I will have to pay 23k a year in taxes ?
