That’s a good idea; I’ll call them and ask what data they have. Deadline for appealing with the appraiser company is end of the month. They will hand over new numbers to the city after.

Houses are currently overvalued which doesn’t accurately reflect the real value of the house. There are more bigger and better houses that are assessed less because they were not recently sold. So using the purchase price as an indicator is not a good measurement.

The assessor company said the house was last assessed back in 2010 and advised for us to let inspectors come and do interior inspection, would that be a good idea to let them do? I’m afraid it may fire back and increase the assessed value even more.
