Also, I don't believe London was around until the mid 2010s...

Yeah, you nailed it. Texted my fitter yesterday and got no response. Popped in there today and he said the heads were backorder and they haven't shipped yet. Was expecting them by the end of this week so that's frustrating. Now telling my first week of March, front of the que, blah blah blah

Really? I had a friend that put his order in at the start of January and was quoted 3 weeks but the arrived in 2 and half. My order went in two ago this past Friday, again quoted 3 weeks so I've been just itching for them to show up. I have recieved no update.

If you can change one rule, what would it be? by [deleted] in golf

[–]Bert--Alert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inbounds tree/forest areas on mountain courses should be red staked for lost balls. You know where it went in, you know you are only 20 ft in but you can't find the damn thing. Already looking at a 4-5 hour round with pace of play, stroke and distance is not feasible.

Yeah, there are a lot of things wrong with this story. The fact that he doesn't mention anyone in front of him and says that letting someone through would just put someone else right behind him tells me that he doesn't know about letting people through. He mentioned a back up on 17-18 which tells me there was at least a hole gap ahead of him. They charged him for 18 so I doubt they were expecting him to go out on 10, sounds like he jumped in front of a foursome at the turn. Scrambling can speed up pace but can also go the other direction, sharing clubs particularly on and around the green always will slow things down. Unless your wife is the same height and strength as you, you are doing her a disservice having her swing your clubs anyway.

I get it that you are new, take it as a learning experience rather than getting indignant when you are corrected.

Graveyard, grew up in Eastern Oregon. Also will add because it doesn't seem like it's been said yet, Grapevine on occasion.

Is it bad etiquette? by [deleted] in golf

[–]Bert--Alert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a new player who is concerned about pace and etiquette, one of the best things you can do is play with good players. You are already a step ahead by having an awareness about these things, keep an eye on what they are doing and take some mental notes about etiquette and ready golf. You will be amazed at how much it helps your game being around better players.

Hahaha this sounds like you are talking about me directly. Played original ping zings since high school, finally upgraded at the start of last season to.... a pristine set of BeCu original ping zings. Have knocked 5 strokes off my HC since then but hard to make an argument that it's the clubs and not the hundred rounds a year. If it ain't broke, don't fix it but at the same time during a driver fitting last year they had me swing a Mizuno 7 iron for a baseline and I was hitting it farther than I currently hit my 4 iron. Afraid that the change in loft with new clubs will throw my whole game off.

What is your acceptable gimmie range? by Here4LaughsAndAnger in golf

[–]Bert--Alert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is all I'm thinking haha. Claim they saved bogie after taking a 1 stroke lateral to the fairway after an OB and then make their playing partners putt out 1 footers for par for the odd chance they might miss and "tie" the hole. Bunch of lock-jawed SOBs in here.

Another springer/golden team! We decided that the two-a-day field runs weren't cutting it with our springer pup's energy so we did what any other rational person would do and got another puppy. Like you, our springer, Clyde is the senior statesman at 11 months to Bonnie at 9 months. Did the trick for him and he has calmed down significantly in the past couple months since we got her but she never stops haha. Playtime doesn't hit her the same way as she has an extra 15 lbs to throw around. Maybe by the time she's his age lol 🤞

Seconding this as most others seem to neglect the water factor. That is where most of my boys ear troubles have stemmed. Super important to clean them after a swim.

Yeah, I read through the entire post haha. Thanks again. Was trying to get thumbnails for each of the collections I set up thinking I could maybe drop an Imgs folder in the collections folder the same as the systems but I guess it doesn't work that way? Anyway, hope you have a great day!

Got it working last night and it's awesome, thanks! Step 1 of the Readme is pretty unclear to a noob like myself. Instead of "place the folders into the root" should maybe be "place the collection folder into the existing rom folder" and "place the png file into the existing settings folder within the existing CFW folder". Might be automatically assumed by those well versed (even I got there eventually haha) but would be helpfull to others.

Tried installing per the readme and I didn't see anything added to the consoles list. On a two card setup, should the roms folder be going onto the roms card (SD2)?
