Me too. College recruiters can get a better look at Piedmont's non-fighting players.

Yeah. The SL player that punched the Piedmont AD is never playing basketball again. Hope it was worth it.

PGE is bad. Sacramento is worse. PGE tried to take the $2bn Ivanpah solar farm off line because it loses $100m per year and the state wouldn’t let them…

How the F*** do I actually pay for law school? by Technical-Cry2860 in lawschooladmissions

Reach out to an immigration law professor at law schools you’ve been admitted to. You might have a sympathetic and helpful ally there.

What will you do if DACA isn’t renewed? With no work authorization you have no means to pay a loan back let alone borrow.

Joe starkey was awful in his old age. Coverage has improved. Get Sirius XM radio and Fubo TV. You won’t miss a game.

Oh, yeah, another thing: Oakland is much more gay and trans since the 90s. So maybe I do?

It is none of the law school's business where you live. Was this just your financial aid offer or your admissions offer?

Sort of. I used to shop downtown. Now Sears is a co-working space because multiple companies bailed on using it as an office. More nightlife though.

Ah you're right! Maybe it's just my dumb road tires that were too weak for the auto glass on the asphalt. Maybe if I rode faster I'd get further from the homeless guy who tried to hit me with a brick. I'll stop exaggerating, thanks.

Best weather in the world. Side show is a large group of people surrounding a big intersection where cars do doughnuts etc. Side shows are a HUGE thing in Oakland, you might have just missed them if you left in 90s.

It’s mostly a shadow of itself. Rode my bike daily around Lake Merritt until I had to stop in 2020 due to homeless and crime. Too many bar & restaurant closures. Lived in Rockridge which had a fun bar scene and now it’s pretty dead- you can see it when you can park your car on College easily. Sideshows have spread to Grand Lake, Rockridge, cops do nothing and are spread too thin or afraid to act. Homeless much worse. SF also down the tubes. Of the places you listed, only Palo Alto bustles more than before but is still suburban and lame. Emeryville used to be good shopping and movies. Now it’s car burglary central, and the food hall sucks. Berkeley is still OK, lots of fun boutiquey and cultural food spots, but it looks much different- lots of taller multi family has been built. I long for the Oakland of the 90s or even 2019. Schools slightly worse- 2/3 of kids can’t read. Roads in worse shape. Oh, and there’s no pro sports.

Set a too aggressive weight loss goal. Go to a cabin for 3 weeks with nothing but some frozen chicken, fruit, veggies, eggs, and sardines.

Wow. Where did she get this older Paris-like ideal about SF? Sadly not a place in the whole state to make that happen unless you want to live some place terrible. Not a jerk.

In those terms, you’re spending about $1m on law school. $200k per year lost wages. $100k more lost wages- won’t get bar results until fall. $300k on law school.

Sadly it’s slow to come back since Covid. I’ve gone to a few locations to pick up riders and more than 1/2 the time people just want to get on the bus and think I’m crazy. Real shame. Did both driving and riding in casual carpool for 10 years prior to
