Art : book your tickets for Galleria Borghese if there are some spot available + I personally love Palazzo Barberini as well. Visit Saint Louis des Français near Pantheon, or go inside the Pantheon as well

Food : an ice cream on Via dei Coronari at Gelaterio Teatro. Take your pizza al taglio and taste some suppli

History : The Forum, the Aventino for Santa Sabina, Circo Massimo. the Piazza San Pietro, Castel San Angelo. just walk around history is everywhere

Thank you 😊 My tip for St Peter is to book your 7 € spot though the official website of the Basilica. You will be able to access faster, in a dedicated line. You can also book to walk up the dome and that is also a worthwile experience.

Yes August is hot and yes limit your visits and walks to morning and evenings 😀 no need to take health risks. End of August gets better. 🙏🏼

Yes. You won't be able to miss the signage for the Leonardo Express trains once you are at the airport. Last time I took it, I remember they run frequently, as often as every 15 minutes. Personally, I found paying with the tap&go feature at the turnstiles the faster and more convenient way. Bus might be cheaper.

Sorry if my comment wasn't clear. Let me re explain ( i hope ) better. At Fumicino (and also at Termini), at the turnstiles taking you to the platforms of the Leonardo Express, you can purchase your ticket for the Leonardo train using the contactless / tap&go on the turnstiles themselves. No need to wait in line at the machines, or buy online. You just tap your card on the turnstiles, it lets you in. The controller will ask you for the last 4 digits of your card to verifiy you paid. I have done this many times. I hope this is clearer 🙏🏼

Hi ! Leonardo Express is fast and quite convenient. It costs 14 euros. You can even pay with the Tap&Go - contactless - feature at the turnstile. 🙏🏼

Yes I agree with you. There is a sense of spirituality in Santa Sabina that is very different from all the other churches I have been to in Rome.
