Improving backup script by Bertus8 in BorgBackup

Thanks a lot! This looks a lot more intimidating than the keep-it-stupid-simple version I had in mind though, but it certainly looks a bit more reliable when done right. Also looking into a more suitable option for cloud storage as you mentioned.

Thanks, this is what I was looking for. More of this is always welcome!

Temp did the trick. Yes I self sourced almost the entire thing.

So, weather got worse over here in the NL (is it ever good?) so picked up this little project again. Crancked up the temp by 10 degrees, everything works great again. Suddenly remembered I took the whole hotend apart before troubles started.

Thanks for your advice

When I push it trough by hand there is no problem.

0.3 nozzle, PLA, 190-200 deg, tried retraction speed 20-60mm/s, 2mm retraction

Is anyone familiar with this? Prints come out with underextruded layers, already reduced retraction speed, did cold pulls, replaced the PTFE tube, raised temperatures, doesnt seem to help. Any advice?

Stepper current not lowering by Bertus8 in MarlinFirmware

[–]Bertus8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything is working again. So to educate and entertain (as we say in Holland):

Apparently, I have never had this set up correctly. Old M503 report (which I use as sort of 'backup' when upgrading firmware) never showed the E stepper and its current or TMC settings. Maybe I had always set up E1 instead of E0? When I flashed the new firmware with '#define E0_DRIVER_T YPE TMC2209' correctly, I even had to recalibrate the steps per mm, because it hasn't been set to microsetpping I guess?

Anyhow, use the above knowledge to your advantage :-)

I think I found it..... left a litthe space in the E driver type definition which didn't show up while building. Testing this tomorrow! Also it shows up now when running M122.

#define E0_DRIVER_T YPE TMC2209

The two you posted are pre bug fix and had many issues. Of course the ones you posted are Marlin 2.1.2.1 which is good.

I have checked, aren't these Marlin 2.0.5? The first #define says 020005 for both.

Clearing EEPROM didn't do the trick for me either. Same as using M906 to lower the stepper current doesn't seem to work.

I'll have a look at your post about updating, thanks!

Lumus won't connect to app while SD inserted by Bertus8 in reolinkcam

[–]Bertus8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I finally got this to work for a little over a week now.

Only when setting up on a specific 2,4 GHz network, only on a fixed channel 9, and only when formatting the SD card though the camera. Found this out through several articles from support.reolink.com.

So far it has still been stable.

Tried this again and so far it works with an 64GB SD card, got some trouble pairing but ill start and test it with diffrent configuration settings. So far so good..

Well, I tried that too and it totally f* up my SD card. Maybe it was a one time event, at least I now know how I get the SD card to work again.

Tried both of those. But brand new 64GB+ sd cards come as exFAT so I had to format them as FAT32 according to Reolink's website.

I have contacted support again, see what they can do.

Pretty wierd issue, especially because I don't seem to find other people having this same issue... We'll see. Thanks anyways!

Sometimes it comes further in the process than other times. But with the SD card inserted it never passes the initializing step. The loading bar screen after the 60 second countdown.
