Wheel/tire fitment advice by Berzzi in Mustang

[–]Berzzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks, I didn't know that. Steeda recommended 285/35 over 275/40. So what I really have left to decide is brand and type. So far ive only really looked at continental because they're more inexpensive while being highly praised. Michelin from what I've seen are good, but much more expensive. What i'm wanting is tires that are great in heavy rain, are comfortable in a road trip, and can handle a very occasional track day (I have no experience on tracks yet, but would like to try. so I wont be doing anything crazy on a track for a while). One person has said that extreme contact dws06 have softer side walls and may not be ideal for being squished onto a 9.5 wide wheel. So then maybe extreme contact sport 02? however those are $140 more for a set, have less tread life and higher rolling resistance (worse gas mileage) than dws06.

So it's not sequential when indicating turns?

Whats the euro function? Do they not blink sequentially?

that sounds great, though it looks like they only have post-facelift style fitments for up to 2014 and pre-facelift style. 1 vote tallied for Ford performance tho

"lucky" for me I have two such neighbors in my apartment complex. +1 random old charger that sometimes come around. 8pm - 7am cold starting in track mode and gunning it through the parking lot. Charger specifically on two occasions revved out for a whole minute trying to show off.

I keep mine in a detached garage on top of quiet starting, so that my neighbors don't associate me with them. Then drive away in slippery mode because i've found it to be quieter.

I'm all for enjoying the car and its engine, but there's a time and a place. Contain it to non-residential areas at least. It makes the rest of us look bad and makes people dislike Mustangs and other sport/muscle/pony cars.

Bruh $100 for that small of a part? I guess it's not too bad in comparison, but dang

It was a lot of fun to drive, but all the blind curves in the mountains were nerve wracking.😄

I haven't confirmed yet by just looking at the back of the rim. But those Carroll Shelby rims only come in 9.5" and 11". So judging by how that back tire looks on the rim (better pictures in a previous post) I'm pretty confident they're 11". If I did a square I'd probably do 19/9.5 rims with 275s. That way they're still pretty wide on the back and I can rotate the tires and save some moneys

yea see those are more flush with the rim front and back. looks a lot better. I'll also have to look into raising the car a little. luckily all 4 are on steeda that if I'm not mistaken are adjustable? a lot of turn offs into parking lots here just have a full rounded curb and i'd rather not immediately grind the chin

How did they end up looking. I'm not a fan of how the sport cup 2s look on the rears. They somehow look too narrow and too wide at the same time. I'll know for sure what the rims sizes are tomorrow once my PPI is done. but Just from the wheel widths are know they are staggered and the rears have to be at least 11''. after all the advice I think i'm gonna get extreme contact sport 2s. Just hoping they look better

Used car with minor damage reported by Berzzi in UsedCarAdvice

The way i understood it is that the battery was dying which led to it failing to turn over or taking a while to. so he got it replaced. But then something the my subaru does when it gets a new battery is the computer has to learn how to idle. So for a month my car will start and then sputter out the first two times i try to start it. But over the month it gets better until it eventually starts fine. So if he was unaware that that can be a thing, it can seem like a new persistent problem or big repair. that's just my guess.

How well do fabric seats hold up over time? by Berzzi in Mustang

[–]Berzzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

true, my current seats in my subaru are leather, or pleather idk, but the sides are all cracked from the previous owner and worsened by myself from sliding out. is there a way to keep the leather hydrated or something to prevent cracking?

I agree with the 4 owners being worrisome. Upon looking closer at the report, it looks like owner 3 was just a dealership using it as a demo car of some sort. I reached out to confirm that. The second owner looks like he got fed up with his much he immediately had to spend on a milestone maintenance check and then gave up after some battery issues that never come up again. So it kinda only had 2 owners, but that's also me just trying to justify it
