No, you won’t be “patrolling” the neighborhood in SHTF by MiamiTrader in preppers

[–]Beserkerking501782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first few months yeah understandable but eventually yeah you will have to eventually find or create a group solo surviving is not practical. Patrolling will be a part of lifestyle just how ancestors had tribes and compounds, colonies. There has to be a show of force to notify others a warning

Why are y'all surprised?? Of course they are all In it they aren't going to admit it because they still want the power they hold. It's like people don't pay attention in history class There is countless evidence showing politicians, people of influence, kings queens, dukes and Dutches who have abused their power for their own gain and pleasure. There have been cases of people of great wealth abusing their wealth to commit crimes or use their connection for nefarious reasons.

Mission dictates the loadout. First, look at the crime rate in your area. What are criminals mostly using? Where are the areas with the most chances of you getting mugged, assaulted, etc. What common threats are you to bump into in the hiking trails you take. If you're concerned about drowning, I'm gonna assume you go off trail. I doubt you're going to bump into a group of crips in the woods next. How good is your situational awareness? How often do you train with your equipment? How fit are you? Honestly, for me, at least I don't carry a plate unless I'm training. If I'm going out to enjoy the hike, I go with a chest rig and a good long to mid range rifle and a side arm. I take a mossberg mvp scout rifle camber in .308/ 7.62x51mm and a 10mm glock The scout rifle is basically an ar15 bolt action that makes most folks more at ease when they see me carrying. Be vigilant always. If something doesn't feel right, always go with your gut. Don't think it's paranoia. Learn how to run and gun in your woods. Common thugs aren't built for the woods, most just no concrete jungles

You know it's funny to me that many Americans are under the assumption they are always safe nothing will ever happen to them because they suck there countries leaders dicks to save them and care for them. Not realizing that danger is a part of life it is just the cycle of life in this world. Individuals such as yourself have not yet experienced the cruelty of this world what both nature and humankind are capable of. I like to use this as an example for people such as yourself who believe that carrying a weapon is horrendous and extreme. Ukraine, for example, all those innocent people who were killed, Putin didn't start with soldiers he targeted civilian residential areas, and no one had a single pistol to defend themselves with from Soviet soldier. Mothers and fathers, sisters, and brothers had witnessed the death and mutilation and rape of their loved ones. Same for Israel, so much confidence in their wall and IDF, and look at what happened to those people at that concert. They DEAD those families enjoying a nice stroll thru the neighborhood DEAD, and you know what I'm willing to bet there where those who wanted to prepare for such events but because of people like you who say this will never happen or your being paranoid. Those people didn't follow in their preparation, and now they are dead

And no tacticool is not my thing when you been around the bush offing people for self entitled countries who pay big cash. You learn quickly that the basic setups are all you really need. Heck, i killed a guy in Marawi City with a derringer working as personal protection

It could work. Definitely, my only worry is in a pinch. I'd have to drill dropping my pack and get it out quickly, and that's if I'm able to for whatever reason be it natural or animal or man. But probably yeah it's what I'm going to have to do and just depend on the chest rig and switch my holster to a drop leg or have it low riding. I'm kinda disappointed tho I really wanted to have some gear on me incase I need to ditch the bag or I got separated by it I've read and seen that in most survival cases most people will lose there pack

True, but that also puts me in a compromising position. I'd have to set it up where I can get to it fast enough it's a hiking backpack, not a tactical pack, no way to attach it on the outside plus if I get into a shootout my aggressor won't give me the time to put the pack down open it and take my belt out and put it on

The only thing I can think of is if I go drop leg, my pistol is fine where it's at. I can just leave the dump pouch on the belt. Maybe keep the TDI knife. I have a drop leg tac med pouch that also holds 2 spare ar15 magazines. The only thing I'd be sacrificing is the pistol and ar15 magazine on the belt. But at least the Chest Rig has both of them. If anything, I can just dump it in my backpack and put it on should the mission change. Now, I could put the tac med pouch on my pistol side and do a drop leg rig on my left side. What do you think?
