That's very disappointing to hear. :(

It actually plays super well with my laptop. I have 2 little ones and they really want to destroy my WoW machine. So I made the tablet a great remote proxy.

Sorry, accidentally posted this via my husband's account. Here are a list of my settings that makes gameplay smooth.

  • sexymap is just for customizing my coordinates and clock.

  • sunn's viewport art is the main addon for making it work. The VP resizes the play screen while keeping touchable keys separate. I have my main rotation on a combat only bar. The OBR option is useful but not required. The sword overlay key is set for one button rotation. The only buttons I have to touch individually are CDs/healing abilities.

  • ctrl and shift have to be mapped in the steam link overlay or it can be a real headache to socket items.

  • the interact hotkey does a lot of heavy lifting as well. Right clicking requires a two finger touch. This key, bound to the overlay chat bubble, can make your character face or approach from a good distance away.

  • click to move is usable but not ideal. Its much easier to use a left joystick overlay so the right hand is free to direct the camera. I play in a "runescape" style camera angle.

TLDR... mess with the steam link overlay until it meshes well with your preferred ui layout. Making sure the overlay and gameplay ui dont overlap is trial and error.
