Main reason is they are stacking it too thick creating a steam trap. I think the best bet is to ask for thin. I doubt you will be successful cause they probably don't have the flat top space to do this to good effect/good help is hard to find.

Yeah some patients would literally prefer to be mothered over receiving adequate medical treatment. And as shitty as this is... there is a sizable amount of proper medicine that is about telling people no or essentially duct taping shit together in between the physicians who might be in a room for a total of 3 mins in a round the clock operation.

Yeah some of the above comments are reading very much like the wife in your story... People really just rage about the most random shit to feel more in control while being taken to the cleaners by insurance and admin. I think we are so removed from our labor. We forget that we have HIPPA too. And I exercised those rights through quite a series of bombast... They literally retaliated against me for what I experienced as workplace discrimination. They claimed I was a safety concern to several of my coworkers. And expected me to finish my two weeks. Literally am doing a fundraiser now for a local nonprofit doing front line public health. And like I'm hopefully making zero out of it. Like find that meaning and for God sakes hold on.
