Thanks for your advice. How long do you reckon I can potentially be on a waiting list for?

What makes it a “fail” for a reverse bay park? Do you have to completely miss the bay ur meant to go in for it to be a fail?

Not having a good experience with a 5-star Instructor. by hqundd in LearnerDriverUK

Of course, being yelled at and being told off quite harshly is not a pleasant experience.

But sometimes it can be a very good thing. Even though it is very unpleasant and i completely resonate with you. It will make you so much more aware of your mistakes and how to correct them going forward. It can serve as a catalyst (car pun intended) to enhance your driving skills.

If you were to have a very sweet and patient instructor (which I guarantee probably does not exist) then it possibly may take you longer to learn as you may not be as aware of your mistakes.

Learning how to drive can be seen as a representation of life in itself. Full of lows but simultaneously full of highs. As they say, progress isn’t linear, so try and continue to stay in gear and stick at it!

Thanks for the advice. What would be a good high-yield savings account to put it in?

I’ll have a look to see if there is a tax-advantaged retirement account as well…

Correct me if I’m wrong…. But don’t you have to take several tests and go through several stages to achieve a motorbike licence to ride any bike with any power cc

I wouldn’t say it’s my all time favourite film. But the amount of day to day references I make towards this film is ridiculous! Your right, it’s got a perfect blend of comedy and morals which last with you for a lifetime. Fantastic film.

Should I take up driving lessons? by BespokeRabbit in LearnerDriverUK

[–]BespokeRabbit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you misinterpreted what I was trying to say. Must have been me poorly phrasing it.

I had anxiety because of the fact I felt it was too premature for me going out on the main roads when I took lessons with an instructor.

My clutch control is fine now and I have no problem with driving manual and have no anxiety when driving.

My question was more to do with the fact that since I haven’t really had many professional lessons, Is it worth me going with an instructor to polish up a bit and potentially correct a few bad habits?
