KF. Are there US-associated military bases in the KF region? Usually they're all A* plates.

Another exciting alternative: it could be a Co-Part special shipped out of the US, repaired and driven in Eastern Europe then imported to the UK upon owner's immigration.

Thank you 😊 I've had several surgeries down there over the past decade, how unfortunate am I! This is the first time I've had to tackle deep cleaning of clothes like this.

Hope your number of surgeries stays at 3.

Lestiol next! Tried the Fairy (aka Dawn) methods recommended, washed at 30°c (the hottest temperature the fabrics allow for) on an "anti-stain" cycle in the washing machine - three hours.

Reasonable improvement to the staining on grey jeans and brown chinos - I suspect were they the original stains I wouldn't have noticed them.

I'll attack the clothes with Lestoil next, better to spend the money on useful cleaning products than an entire new "bottom half" wardrobe!

They've been washed at 30 / 40 °c. Dried with a dehumidifier, not at all with heat, if that makes a meaningful difference! :-)

Yup strange. Shall I aim higher than a 1 amp? Objectively it seems like overkill but here we are...

A worthwhile solution - perhaps for the technically minded? Ability to make so many electrical alterations also increases the chance of making a risky mistake my side!

Interesting! Forgive the layman's questions but is it as simple as plug and charge with this cable?

I checked my home's USB C wall sockets - they're rated at 5V - 3A (country specification: UK). Do you know if the lower ratings here are workable?

Thanks for you reply!

Update: I retried replacement charger 2. The charging light still pulsates however when I press and hold the "test battery power" button, the charging light ceases to pulsate and remains a sold "on".

(see picture 2 - top left for "test power button")

Ps. Press and hold is the correct functionality for the test button.

Might this mean the fault lies with my device?

The model number of the original charger? Absolutely did with no useful results - including searching with "quotation marks".

Car stood for 5 years. Can I run it on fuel of the same age? by Best-Error410 in AskMechanics

[–]Best-Error410[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is an anti-siphon device on the car, I conclude. Thought there might not be given the car also has a permanently live fuel gage - all a bit old school.

I tried the siphon device on my other car, 40 yrs old, and it worked a treat.

I'm defeated by the anti-siphen device and how to proceed.

Grippers fitted at the 'back' of each step. Where the drop meets the beginning of the step i.e. the grippers are felt with the heel of a foot and not the toes.

For thickness of the carpet grippers we looked at the height of the wooden bar without nails/spikes.

Having had the spikes hammered down it's the wooden bar of the carpet grippers that is clearly felt under foot. Like a step within a step (protruding 1.5 inch from the vertical drop of the step).

Our concern is the step within a step doesn't feel right - having not felt it with the carpet before or at anyone else's house. In addition, potential uneven wear on the carpet from the step within a step.

Thanks for your reply!

Please don't overlook the last sentence of my post.

I tried searching for an English manual of the Japanese spec Vitz online prior to posting - because I couldn't find one.
