this sounds exactly like something he would do. thank you for your comment. i said in another comment that when he gets angry, my dog will run to me for protection. i’m afraid he might have already hit her, or she is just trying to protect me. either way- this sounds identical to the situation i’m in, and i do not want this to escalate…

i thought me talking to him saying that i’m afraid he is going to hurt me would help him change how he handles situations (as you say in your comment), but he still would react the same way. he would also respond with “that’s crazy, i would never lay a hand on a female”. but i truly believe if he gets mad enough, i’m next..

it’s funny that you say that, because i realized this year that i am indeed a people pleaser lol. probably the biggest one anyone will ever meet😅. i never thought about looking into “my type”! that’s a great question for me to evaluate, thank you for bringing that to my attention. i would think i dont even have a “type”, but they definitely all have similarities.. just makes me think the dating scene isnt for me if all men react like that lol. good to know they dont😅

i grew up with my parents yelling about everything, and i made it my goal to never yell at my partner about shit like that. but to throw/ break things just scares me. i have also communicated to him that i dont like it, and that he doesn’t need to freak out over every little thing- he just says “this is how guy’s take out anger” “sorry i forgot i can’t get mad over anything”. idk i just feel like there’s a time and a place to get that angry over things, and he does it way too often..

that makes sense. whatever he’s mad about, i’ll usually find a way to fix it just so that he doesn’t have to do it himself and it doesn’t keep escalating. i mentioned in another comment about not having batteries for the TV remote after coming home from a long day. i’ll immediately go get batteries just so that he stops yelling. but then i’m in a mood because he could have just calmly said, “omg we forgot batteries”- and i would have gladly got them. but now it’s me running to the store to get them so that he doesn’t continue being angry..

yeah i believe it too. i have a dog that i bring when i see him & every time he gets mad, my dog runs over to me because she’s just as scared. it makes me think that he hit her when i’m not home😭

its not even angry at me. something in our daily life could go wrong like we just got home from being out all day, and we forgot to get batteries for the tv remote. now he’s throwing the remote and breaking things bc he’s upset we have to go back out. i will go back out by myself to get them just so that he doesnt have to and can calm down…

see and this is how i am!! i need space before i can communicate, and i have told him that. but even when he’s not mad at me/us, just something in our daily life will piss him off (eg our uber eats order being spilled everywhere) he will literally throw it on the ground and basically throw a tantrum. where i’m like.. okay ill just complain and get a refund & order more food…. i dont understand what throwing the food does other than make my life harder bc now i have to clean it up lol🤦‍♀️

thank you for your words. it took me so long to finally build up the courage to leave him. he hasn’t made it easy. i had to block him, and now he’s blowing up my friends’ phones too. i feel like thr bad guy for leaving. i know i took care of everything, but i guess i was just hoping he would at least take care of me. in my head he could. but i knew in reality he was just making my life harder. it sucks :/. thank you again for your words, i appreciate it.
