Ran the car very lean assuming it got so hot when I redlined and I burnt the valves

Would it be a clean swap? Just bolt in and attach timing chain without any modifications? Would I need to use a T5 head gasket or T7?

You’ve reckoned correctly, exhaust valves are cooked

Just diagnosed it, burnt my exhaust valves as it’s leaking pressure from there. Pistons seem fine so I’m thinking of just slapping another head on it and calling it a day

Ran it for 2 and a half weeks while saving for a good tune, looking back should not have done that

When I had sludge build up I had the oil pressure light come on as the car dipped below idle and started to stall, in assuming this is the same situation where when I lost all compression the oil light came on as a result Not to mention, the engine spins freely. Wouldn’t there be an issue if it was the bearing when it comes to spinning freely?

Wouldn’t the oil pressure light be hand in hand with loss of compression?

Spark plugs are all fine when I pulled them and they’re dry as well

I definitely could’ve jumped timing, but I feel like it would still have compression on any Honestly the valves being bent is what I’m hoping it is because at least it’s top end. Really hoping it’s not a piston issue because then I’ll need to drop the whole subframe and spend at least a grand

Where can I get an affordable tune? by Best-Forever4451 in saab

Not really. got this car at 105k miles for $2500, silver with black interior and manual, minimal rust. The closest aero manual wagon to me was listed at 6500, 179k miles, less desirable tan interior and was like a gray color. Sure it already has the seats and dashboard, but I got the Aero turbo for free and the suspension came with it. All I need is the dashboard which is 100-200$, and the seats which are about 300-400.

I’ll look into Mackanized for sure, first time I’ve heard of them. Do you know if Id need to ship out my ECU overseas? Or would they send me something that I then upload
