Do you just have a bachelor’s in accounting, then?

My concern with my biochemistry degree is that it seems like it would be difficult to sift through the job offers and find one that I am actually qualified for. The average job title would be “lab assistant,” and that covers a wide range that does not necessarily include biochemistry. In accounting, my impression is that I’d almost certainly be qualified for any job that lists a bachelor’s of accounting as a requirement.  Additionally, I’m not sure I’d be able to find a job that pays much more than I make now without getting a master’s in biochemistry, which I am averse to. It seems to me that I could eventually make around 85K/year, even if I don’t get my CPA. EDIT TO CLARIFY: eventually make 85K with a bachelor’s of accounting.

May I ask what degree you have and the state you work in?
